I normally do not give bad ratings because sometimes people/places can have an off day but this needs to be said. 12/27/2020 we decided to get up early and take my daughter to breakfast for her 18th birthday. There are 9 of us in our family. We arrived to IHOP at 8:50 am and ordered drinks. The server was very friendly and got our drinks quickly. She attended to us quite often as we waited for food. We ordered at 9:10 am and waited for over 40 minutes for our food. I know we have a big family so we understand it taking a little longer than normal but this seemed to be pushing it and the kids were hungry. All in all we never said anything and waited patiently for the food. My son-in-law and my oldest daughter were at the end of the table and received their food first. She immediately saw hair in her husband’s food. She let the server know and she returned is plate to the kitchen as the other servers handed out our food. His plate was returned within 30 seconds. They literally replaced the food that had the hair on it and returned the same plate. As everyone got there food my son found a small black curly hair on his country fried steak with gravy. I was like “you are kidding right?” Hair in food happens, it shouldn’t but it does. But what are the odds of two plates with hair. Well then everyone started checking their food. My husband found a hair on my 5 year older daughters pancakes, same small curly place hairs. Then my oldest daughter found 4 hairs on her babies kids meal plate. I was so shocked and confused. Started looking around like is this a joke?? My daughter who was celebrating her birthday said her food was fine, chicken and waffles. She picked up a chicken strip and took a bite and when she went to lay it back down saw a hair on the plate under the chicken. We showed the server everything. She got the manager. He was really sincere and said he would take all the food and have it back out in 10 minutes and it would be on them which I appreciate but at this point no one wanted to eat there and my husband had to head back to Georgia as he works on the road. I told him we are not trying to get free food and free food would not fix what just happened. I can only think of two reasons there could have been hair on everyone’s plate. Either someone in the kitchen was bitter and did it on purpose or maybe someone just had a hair cut and didn’t shower??? I don’t know but I will never return there. Felt so sorry for the server, it wasn’t her fault and there was a room full of people she was waiting on that saw everything. We definitely didn’t make a scene we are not that kind of people but there was no way for the other tables not to witness what was going on. All in all we were there over an hour, didn’t get to eat, didn’t get to enjoy my daughters birthday breakfast and we didn’t have a nice moment with my husband before he had to leave. Just an...
Read moreThere was guy who waited on our table didn't know how to wait tables must been a new hire.I order coffee and he brought ice cold coffee with a few creamers.I told him it was cold coffee he said it was just seating beside the burner that's why it was cold. Why would you bring to me cold coffee if you knew it was seating there for who knows how long?We had only 3 people in our party ordering he couldnt answer questions about the food and didn't even bring kids menu we ask again claims there was no menu also this guy kept going back and forth getting answers for easy menu questions from someone the back of the restaurant.I ordered a chicken salad it was sad hardly any lettuce and the salad didn't have of half of the contents in the picture.I looked at it when bought it and said this a salad it was pitiful a total disappointing experience. He knew I was dissatisfied with salad and the ice cold coffee and never offered to make it right just stood there staring. When it time to pay I left a tip it was not not 20 percent that I would usually leave I changed the amount on the handheld payment center and still left 10 percent which in reality should have been 1 percent. We though we try this ihop it was close to area we was havent never eating at this location and never will again.I should have left when we went in peak business hours and was a not busy. There was only 1 other table with 2 people this restaurant,We should took the hint there's a reason no...
Read moreIt's been open about a week at this point. When my family and I walked in, two employees were just standing there looking at the seating chart and it took them awhile to even acknowledge we were standing there, then we got a "Uh, how many?". No "Welcome to iHop", no smile, a little lackluster. OK, we get seated and our server showed up and she actually knew what was going on and we have no complaints with her. But, while sitting there, several other people around us we heard complaining of things wrong and lack of service. The people next to us had been waiting for a check for awhile they finally stopped a waitress and she said "Oh, I'll see if I can find him but I think he walked out". I mean, seriously, nothing speaks professionalism like telling patrons their waiter probably walked out. Well, she found him, he was on a smoke break, and she even came with him to their table and said "I told them you probably walked out" and thought it was kind of funny. Other staff seemed to be lazily walking around like they had no clue what was going on. The food? It was OK, not amazing, but no real problems other than they forgot a side or two. Anyway, the overall atmosphere here at this point makes me feel like this will be a dirty place within weeks. I don't have much to compare it to b/c I've only been to an iHop only one other time is a tourist town, so maybe I unfairly...
