I love KFC food, but not coming back to this one. I waited 20 minutes in line yesterday. I ordered a 4 piece chicken tender combo, which includes a biscuit, tenders, mashed potatoes, and a drink. I also ordered green beans on the side. They told me my total would be $10.17. It's only $6.39 for the combo, but I ordered green beans too, so it should have been $7 or $8, so I'm wondering why my meal was so much. I get to the window and paid. She gives me my receipt with a completely different order on it. It has down a 4 piece thigh, leg, breast, and wing instead of tenders. She comes back to the window with my bucket of chicken that I didn't order. I told her "I was suppose to get a 4 piece tender combo." She says, "No, you weren't." Pretty much calling me a liar. I said, "Yes, I was suppose to get a 4 chicken tender." She tells me "Well we are all out of tenders for the rest of the night, so that's probably why she did that." I said, "Um ok..." confused on why they didn't tell me earlier when I ordered, so I could change to something I actually would want, instead of throwing a random order together and expecting me to be ok with it. Before I could say anything else, the cashier says "Sorry about that, sweetie." and slams the window and leaves without fixing my order or giving me anything extra. I was too upset for being treated that way and needed to be at work soon, so I went home to eat my food. When I got there, I also found out that I was not given my mashed potatoes with the order, just a biscuit, green beans, and the chicken, not even a fork or napkins. I called up there later to try to talk to someone again about the situation, the phone rang for a whole minute and no one answer. So I waited much longer than I should have for my food. They overcharged me for giving me the wrong order on purpose, didn't even give me half my order, was rude when I spoke up about the concern, and didn't even try to fix it. Absolutely terrible customer service. I've had other bad experiences there, but that one...
Read moreI went into KFC on 54 in Owensboro with my young son tonight, stressful and tired, not wanting to cook and not wanting to spend a fortune on too much food that I knew would ultimately be wasted. I stood at the counter for a good 15 minutes, trying to come up with the perfect combination of chicken and sides to feed the two of us without any leftovers. I can eat one of their meals but my son is five - too big for one of their kid's meals and too small for a grownup meal. An employee names Ashley stepped up to the plate and saved me. She worked up a combination of a meal, a la carte items, and upgrades that was exactly what I was looking for and was incredibly helpful and polite throughout. I know this doesn't seem like a huge deal, but it was. I was run ragged from running errands and trying to pack for an upcoming move, my son was hungry and grumpy, and I couldn't even think straight long enough to place a simple order at a fast food joint. She saw a worn out Mama and felt sympathy. She was patient with my fussy little boy and she was kind to me. Sometimes, people don't realize that it's the small things that make a difference. Ashley, if you ever read this, thank you. You make my night so much easier. KFC, if you guys read this, you need to know what a great employee you have. She went above and beyond to show kindness. She is the picture-perfect example of impeccable...

I ordered Mike’s Hot Honey Fan Favorite’s Box online — a $25 meal that’s supposed to come with 4 pieces of fried chicken covered in Mike’s Hot Honey, 12 nuggets, Secret Recipe fries, 4 biscuits, and 4 dipping sauces.
When I arrived at the Owensboro location, I was told after waiting several minutes that they were out of Mike’s Hot Honey chicken. The employee offered to substitute regular chicken and said they’d “throw in an extra piece or two” for the inconvenience. I agreed, thinking it would still be handled properly.
After waiting another 10–15 minutes, I finally got the order and headed home. What I got was a random mix of drumsticks, thighs, and wings tossed in some generic hot sauce — no nuggets, no dipping sauces, and not even the correct chicken I paid for. They tried to make up for it by adding a couple of extra biscuits instead of giving me what I actually ordered.
For $25, I didn’t receive the advertised meal, the sides, or the sauces. It’s frustrating to be told it’ll be made right and then end up with something completely different and clearly thrown together last-minute. If this is how “fan favorites” are handled, KFC really needs...
