Lee's Famous Recipe Chicken — Restaurant in Owensboro

Lees has been my favorite chicken restaurant since I was a child. Any time that I am in this area, I usually try to get this and bring home for our supper. Today it was terrible. Everything, especially the chicken was old. It definitely should have been wasted at least 2 hours before I purchased it. The chicken didn't even have a good color and it was dried out. I love Lee's. I really do. Normally I wouldn't rate one so low. However, the only time this one is good is when I come in and the manager/owner is literally watching the crew like a hawk. The crew alone shows an outstanding level of incompetence. They can't take a simple order. They loudly complain about work and drive-thru customers. We actually had a rough start, we waited about 30 mins for our food and watched people come and go, however, when I approached the cashier and she found out we hadn't gotten our order she went to the back and made our plates herself and even gave my daughter an extra tender because hers were a little small, no complaints from us she did it all on her own.
