THEE WORSE EVER !!!
I mean... where do I begin... I took a trip to Baltimore to get my friends car and coming from Philly, we worked up an appetite. We asked her aunt, who lives locally, and she mentioned Mission BBQ. I've been before, not this location, and my friend has never been so I suggested we give it a shot -- so sorry Canita for putting you through this super bad experience.
I'm explaining how Mission BBQ started and just about it all, etc (side note: I love "hosting" people in places they've never been. It's part of the way I love.) I'm getting her excited to try something new and from the rip, the customer service was horrible and the place was dirty.
We walk up, I'm talking to the register worker friendly and get no smile or welcoming response. I'm explaining the menu and how it works. We order the food and my friend and I are fighting over who will pay. Both of us have our cards out trying to give it to the woman at the register. She looked annoyed. I thought it was fun to at least being a smile. Nah, she wasn't having it. Cool. We pay.
We go to get our fountain drinks and a few of them didn't even have anything in them. The countertop was covered in liquid and the young lady was mopping right there and almost bumped into my friend. Didn't even bother to say excuse me or pause until we leave that area.
We go to sit down and I see stains on the floor and countertops. Our table didn't have all the sauces full. It was barely anything in some of them. The workers were literally talking on their cell phones, CURSING, and all.
We are eating, and about 3 times they come up asking if we're done and it's clear we aren't because uh, we still have a ton of food in front of us. We notice it's close to closing time but I mean, come on. They were just rude. All of them.
Eventually, my friend was so bothered because this one young lady just kept staring at her with the stank face... y'all know the stank face,.. so not even finishing our food, we cleaned our table, I get up and throw the food away and we leave.
Just horrible customer service. I'd never go here again and would advise no one else too.
Oh, sorry. The food. It was okay. My favorite sauce is the Classic. Try it. (Not from this place though.) The beans are also good. I always get the brisket, and we got the shredded chicken. She loved the chicken. Neither of us cared for the collard greens. Just not like how a grandma makes them. But yeah...
Mission BBQ I love your restaurants, but this one needs to have an employee...
Read moreEarlier today I brought my 8 year old grandson to the Mission BBQ in Owings Mills, MD. I had told him about how Mission BBQ watched over all branches of the U.S. Military along with Energency Services of Police and Fire Department. He was excited to participate in the noon time acknowledgment of our National Anthem. We ordered food then sat awaiting the noon event. He absolutely loved and declared it his ‘favorite restaurant!’ While there we were taken care of by three Mission staff members who’d I like to acknowledge: # 1) Miss Berelyn was wonderful! She who took considerable effort in very positively interacting with us both. She is so kind and thoughtful ! Berelyn came over to us several time while we were seated. She made us feel truly valued as customers! #2: Miss Diane, our cashier, was so kind and offered / helped my grandson get exactly what he loved since a first time Mission customer. # 3: Miss Amber initially approached us after we were seated and made us feel so welcome checking back with us.
I’m a very dedicated Mission BBQ customer! Their atmosphere and food are ALWAYS EXCELLENT ! In behalf of all of the members of the armed services, along with the varied emergency Services departments “THANK YOU, MISSION BBQ for a job so very well done ! GOD BLESS OUR GREAT COUNTRY ! - Kevin McCarthy, Sr. ...
Read moreDarcy and her team are beyond amazing. She is very approachable and quick to answer any questions and above all she is honest! Our original caterer cancelled our contract less than 3 months before our wedding and Mission BBQ was able to save the day for us. Our venue (Irvine Nature Center) had an exclusive caterer (which you had to book the wedding through) so Mission was not familiar with the set up or the venue, but they did everything in their power and then some to make our day memorable for all the right reasons. Weeks before the wedding, at the walkthrough, we were thrown a curveball and our old caterer (still involved because they book the venue) gave Darcy additional responsibilities that a caterer would not normally have to do and she handled it with the upmost professionalism despite being treated with disrespect from VP of our old caterer. Darcy and her team were able to take care of all the additional tasks and make our wedding run smoothly without any additional stress added to us. We would 100000% recommend Mission BBQ for any event big or small. They are a full service caterer and Darcy even took care of our linens for us. She is a lifesaver and we are forever grateful for her and...
