Jimmy John’s, what went wrong? For I used to adore your sandwiches, especially the bread. At this Oxnard, instead, we got taste gone south. Is there a thing such as “bad mouth feel?” Well, this location proves that. Not trying to bad mouth them, but on an order with a turkey sandwich - of which how can you screw that up? - well they did. Avocado spread? Was pure blech! It completely ruined an already mediocre sandwich. At first I ate it, because well, I was hungry and it was there. But the more I ate, the worse it got. I wasn’t full. My appetite wasn’t satiated. It was erased. Did I even care about the chips and drink from this rip-off of a combo. I did not. And what was once charming of the signage, I no longer found amusing. Jersey Mike’s? Now there’s a reason why it’s one of the top franchises. Subway, while not spectacular, has turned itself around since the days of Jared. Togo’s to their credit is pretty delish too. You want fancy? Go find fancy. You want a sub experience to avoid? Jimmy John’s. I want to say it’s only this location. But the faith I once had in the organization keeps this...
Read moreOne of my favorite stops for a quick bite in Oxnard so far. Excellent friendly staff, always on point and gets the orders right, even when it's busy. They are also nice and quick, from ordering to having the sandwiches in a bag ready to go, will usually take about 5 minutes at most. The workers all seem to be excellently trained as well. The entire store is nice and clean, with the prep counter being clean and organized. Plus, their policy about freshness of ingredients is above and beyond most other stores I know of. The only thing I can really gripe about is the pathetic delivery range that they are allowed to deliver to. Unless you are within about 1.0 mile, It's not even an option for delivery. What even is the point of saying you deliver if there furthest you deliver is within 3...

I left without checking, assuming it would be right the second time—but a couple minutes into my drive, I checked and saw it was made completely wrong, loaded with lettuce and tomatoes I didn’t ask for. I went back and politely asked for a refund. The manager, an older white woman, was very rude and initially refused, saying they don’t do refunds. After some back and forth, I was finally refunded. The rest of the staff was friendly, but the manager’s attitude...
