Uptown Pizza — Restaurant in Oxnard

This place is a total waste of time. A few days ago I was craving an Italian sausage sandwich so I searched the internet and found this place. I drove over about 6:30pm and was asked by a man making a pizza(no one at the counter) if I was picking up a pizza. I asked for a sausage sandwich but was told they quit serving sandwiches at 3:00. I certainly didn’t see this restriction on the website nor did I see a sign in the store. I left very disappointed. Today I was in the area early enough so I thought I would try again. As I walked up to the door, a man was putting a “closed” sign in the window. When he saw the wondering look on my face, he threw up his hands as if to say “too bad”. This was at 2:45 in the afternoon! I can only surmise that they have no interest in growing...

Uptown Pizza has an extensive menu, with options ranging from garlic chicken to pesto veggie pizza - They truly live up to their label as a gourmet pizza place! Lest we forget the calzones, sandwiches, and salads they also have on their menu! We ordered the pesto veggie pizza, cheese pizza (what can I say, I'm traditional?), and breadsticks - all which were to die for. The breadsticks were fluffy, airy, and had slight notes of garlic, and the pizza had the PERFECT sauce to cheese ratio! It's always great to support small businesses, especially in these times. We were looking to enjoy a pizza tonight and I checked out Google Reviews, now mind you I've driven by this place a thousand times at lest. After reading the reviews I had to go check it out, Uptown Pizza is a hidden gem in Oxnard. You can tell the man making these pizzas puts his entire heart into preparing your pizza. We use to like toppers, but after experiencing the amazing veggie delight pizza from Uptown pizza tonight we will not order another pizza from toppers.
