Pizza Hut — Restaurant in Oxon Hill

I have not been to this Pizza Hut location in over 7 years because of a major change in my work schedule. But I remembered that my experience here has always been great. For this Review and Rating, I decided to treat this visit as if I have Never called or been to this location before since so much time has passed since my last visit. As is my unusual personal preference, I always try to call a Business first that I have never been to in order to get a sense of how well (or not) I will probably be treated in person. The bottom-line for me is if I am treated badly via Telephone, then I will most likely be treated badly in person. And if that is the case, I Will Not waste my time or money dealing with that particular business in the future. When I called this location very recently, I spoke to ask a general question, I spoke with a very nice young lady who made me and my call seem very important. She has Excellent Telephonic Customer Service and Care Skills, and her skills are/were genuine since never told her that I was also a Google Local Guide (GLG) until I asked to speak with a Manager. The Manager I spoke with was very nice too and he was very honest in his responses to another general question I asked him. My thoughts after this Telephone Call was: So Far, So (Very) Good. I then ordered Online and I arrived at the restaurant a little earlier to make sure I was not late picking up my Order. I noted that the restaurant is still being kept extremely clean outside and inside. I was Warmly greeted by a very nice young lady at the Front Counter and she even laughed at some of my very corny jokes about Karaoke music. Other staff members also greeted me and I noted that there appeared to be good working relationships/communications/teamwork amongst staff members and the staff patiently handled Customers who were trying to place New (Very Large) Orders minutes before they were scheduled to Close. My Italian Sausage and Pineapple Pan Pizza was given to me piping hot with some packages of parmesan cheese and dried Hot Pepper sprinkles. I tried my best to wait until I got home to bite into a slice but I was unsuccessful. Biting into that pizza was like biting into Pan Pizza Heaven. It was totally fresh, the dough was tender and flaky and the ingredients blended perfectly with each other without overpowering each other. I got full off of only two slices and that really surprised me because I was starving before I got my pizza. It will not be another 7 years before I comeback to this location to enjoy food from...

Sign at door says wait to be seated. We stood there for at least 7 minutes and then someone said oh just grab a couple menus and sit wherever you want. The waitress couldn't have cared less. She barely wanted to speak to us. The pizzas came out and looked decent. I ordered stuffed garlic knots. They were hard and all the cheese had melted and stuck to the bottom of the aluminum tray that they brought it out in which I am certain is the packaging it came in right out of the freezer. The glasses of water we were served had things floating in them. When asked if we could get bottles instead they I formed us it would cost more which is whatever, but then wouldn't you know they didn't have any along with not having Pepsi or Dr pepper. We were on our way to a wedding we didn't even come close to finishing our food and all of us were pretty ill immediately upon leaving this establishment. I would suggest finding somewhere fast food before eating here. Let's top it off with us being charged for extra items we didn't ask for after all. Breadsticks extremely hard. Mozzarella sticks burnt in old oil. Garlic knots disgusting and not worth the force used to cut through them. Water- contains foreign...

As Pizza Hut's go this one is a bit subpar. I live in VA but my in-laws live near here so we get pizza from here sometimes when we're over. Sometimes it's ok, once or twice good, sometimes it's dry, hardly any cheese, overcooked. Very inconsistent. Last time we got it, 2 wks. ago I paid for extra cheese & the pizza's without the extra cheese had more than the one I paid extra for. When I get pizza from Pizza Hut where I live (Woodbridge) they open each box & show you & ask if everything looks ok, they put plenty of cheese on it & they give me good customer service. This one, the just hand you the boxes & you're on your way. Customer service seriously lacking. If they mess up you have to bring the messed up pizza back, they will make you a new one, so then you're out your gas & time to go back & get what you originally paid for & they take the bad one to throw out. Ridiculous. If I am inconvenienced & have to leave while the rest of my family is eating, the least you can do is let me keep the extra pizza. Going to in-laws again tomorrow. Will be ordering somewhere else. I like to get what I pay for. Don't understand the inconsistency. Aren't they supposed to measure cheese rather than just...
