This is an ordinary strip mall; I can't say anything stands out as individual store reviews are accurate.
The linens store is small with friendly staff and signage saying how they're better than Amazon. Alright I guess, may stop in again with a parent but doubt I would myself.
This particular CVS location has lethargic-looking staff.
The K-Mart is...well...I forgot it was even still around and thought Google's photos were outdated. It was like finding a Blockbuster.
Ross is alright.
Safeway is one of the main attractions and no issues.
AMC was fine, will go back.
Bojangles' reviews are accurate, don't waste your time.
Checkers is alright.
I think the biggest issue with this mall is that it is NOT pedestrian or handicap friendly. It's like pedestrians were not even considered for its layout.
As an example, I stood at Checkers, waiting for my order. Looking around, you realize you're boxed in and need to either climb a grassy hill or walk all the way to one of the vehicle entrances to get to the main road, which I did, featuring a haphazard sidewalk to cross to leave the mall.
There is no way a wheelchair user can traverse the sidewalk, they have to be in vehicular traffic to enter the mall (from the entrance/exit featuring mall signage).
There are few clear paths for pedestrians and once I left Checkers, there were about 50 ways to get run over.
If you don't mind weaving between vehicles because of substandard layout, check out some of the...
Read moreI visit this shopping center all the time. One of the most alarming issues is the apparent lack of security, leading to an unsafe environment after dark. Reports of people getting robbed and carjacked cast a shadow over what should be a place for convenient and stress-free shopping. The absence of adequate security measures raises questions about the management's commitment to ensuring the safety of visitors. In addition to the safety concerns, the shopping center is surrounded by a noticeable population of homeless individuals who engage in persistent begging. While it is important to address the issue of homelessness with compassion and social responsibility, the lack of intervention or support services in place at Rivertowne Shopping Center contributes to a less-than-pleasant atmosphere for visitors. The juxtaposition of these safety and social issues detracts from the overall shopping experience. Visitors should not have to worry about personal safety or navigate through an environment where individuals are left without proper resources and support. It is my hope that the management of Rivertowne Shopping Center takes these concerns seriously and implements measures to address the safety issues and support those in need. Until then, potential visitors may want to exercise caution, especially during the evening, and consider alternative shopping destinations with a stronger commitment to the well-being of...
