Miss B’s Bistro — Restaurant in Page

We were really excited for brunch at Miss B’s — we even planned it the day before. We love supporting local, family-owned businesses in Page, so we came with high hopes.

During our order, we clearly requested a sunny side up egg well done for our son, who doesn’t eat eggs that appear undercooked. When the food arrived, the egg looked raw on top. I was about to ask if it could be re-cooked, but my husband chose to switch his scrambled eggs with our son’s instead.

Just as we were about to eat, a lady (possibly the cook) came to our table and explained — quite firmly — that the egg was “cooked underneath.” While we understand her intent, the tone made us feel uncomfortable.

As Asian customers, we felt the moment could have been handled with more kindness. We know what we meant by well-done sunny side up, and we were simply hoping for a meal that suited our child’s needs.

The only thing that could have made this better is if the rain hadn't showed up. Would have been great to sit outside.

The food was fantastic and the service was perfect. The owner and what I only assume were her daughters served us breakfast. We had an omelette, french toast, chicken fried steak, and biscuits and gravy. Everything was done perfectly. We will definitely be stopping in again if we ever come through again.
