Learned a hard lesson with this stay that we hope to never repeat. Four years ago during Covid we had a great stay here and made the mistake of booking again without reading the latest reviews. If we had, we would’ve seen a pattern of rude or nonexistent front desk personnel.
When we arrived at 8:10pm, the front desk was closed so nobody to check us in. Rang the bell, no response. Called the hotel, after a while someone came out and irritably asked if that was us calling on the phone. Ignored the information on our reservation and assigned us the wrong room. Brought that to her attention, and to her credit she did change the room assignment after checking the reservation. Why was this not done beforehand? Our assigned room had a non-functional toilet. Went back to the front desk and there were now two women there. Why neither one of them was there and left the front desk closed when we arrived is a mystery. Inquired about fixing the toilet or changing rooms, to which they responded, “have you touched anything in the room?” Were they really going to give the room with a broken bathroom to somebody else? The second employee went up but was unable to repair the toilet. Upon returning to the front desk I thanked her for trying to fix it. She did not respond so I repeated thank you for trying to fix it. Her exact words were, “I said humph.” Her grunting response says it all about the customer service at this hotel. Altogether it took one hour to check in. In hindsight we should have just left and gone elsewhere. In the morning the front desk was closed again, no surprise, so there was nobody to talk to about the problems we had the night before.
Aside from the poor customer service, as others have mentioned the noise here is such an issue that they provide earplugs in every room.
If there were no other rooms available in town we would drive elsewhere rather than staying here again. Their customer “service” is an embarrassment to the travel industry. Rather than the usual canned responses they provide to all their negative reviews, I can only hope they will make an honest effort to purge their current employees and hire friendly, responsible desk personnel who care about...
Read moreAnyone looking for clean, affordable lodging during a visit to Page, Arizona should look no further than the Clarion Inn. I mean, if you're in Page, Arizona, you're likely here to see the sites and not to lounge around in a luxury hotel all day but even if you did want to lounge around for a day during your stay, this place is still a nice, affordable option!
The pool area was clean but the chairs are worn and should be replaced but I won't ding em for it.
The hotel, itself, was so impeccably clean I bet you could confidently eat straight off the floor if you wanted to - though the staff might not thank you for that lol
Btw! The staff was amazing ~ everyone was so friendly and would go out of their way to help you if you needed anything.
The hotel is within minutes (even walking distance) of basically anything you could think of that you would want and it's directly across the street from the best BBQ I've ever had outside of my home state of Texas!
If you're looking to save money on breakfast, check out their breakfast! (Do NOT get the idea that going to that crepe place might be fun and different; it's so bad I left a rare and scathing 1 star review, the likes of which I only give after feeling personally insulted by service and product) Every morning from 0730 - 0900 breakfast is served with hot options such as breakfast sandwiches and individual plates of scrambled eggs! It's a nice, small selection but beware the coffee station as it's either almost never full or doesn't function properly. However, just ask the breakfast attendant and they'll help you out straight away!
Quick tip for those using 3rd party booking options: just book the hotel directly. 3rd party booking almost always guarantees no changes can be made if you're in any way unsatisfied with your room but if you book the hotel directly, they'll do everything they possibly can to make sure you're well taken care of and happy.
I truly enjoyed my stay here and, if I ever visit Page, Arizona again, I will definitely be booking my stay with...
Read moreIT WAS A HUGE MISTAKE TO CHOOSE THIS HOTEL SINCE I LOST TWO ITEMS WHICH I JUST BOUGHT RECENTLY. I was there with my friend. We arrived there on 04/26 and was assigned to room 317. We soon noticed that there were hairs, little bugs on the bed and requested to switch to another room. This is the first issue we have but was quickly resolved. However, there was another BIG issue. We specifically asked for no service and hang a tag outside the door when we went out next morning on 04/27, however we came back the the room at late night seeing the bed was fully cleaned and settled. I didnt notice anything wrong since we were already pretty tired from the hiking but I still felt not respected since we already hang the tag outside the door. HOWEVER, WHEN I WAS ABOUT TO GO OUT ON 04/28 MORNING, I REALIZED MY CHANEL EYELINER WAS GONE!! I used the eyeliner every day since our road trip on 04/23. And I later found out my chanel coin purse was gone too which I didnt bring with me but I put in my luggage. I reported to the counter girl before we checked out and she reported to her manager and saying they have to wait for the response from the person who cleaned the room. They will get back to me the next day(Friday 04/29), however, I didnt get any response from the manager on friday(04/29). I called back on Saturday (04/30)and again no update and had to wait for manager on Monday. I REALLY DONT UNDERSTAND HOW COULD THEY TREAT A CUSTOMER LIKE THIS? they dont respect the customer privacy just ignored the "no service" sign outside the door and while I AM ANXIOUSLY WAITING FOR RESPONSE, no one seems to care about this issue. PLEASE TAKE THIS CASE...
