This is a pretty new Thai food truck located near a charming motel (looks like each unit has a mini split, gas grill, and outdoor seating â a few even have fire pits or pergolas, which is fancy).
As a SEA kid from LA, I was reluctant to try Thai food in a little Arizona town, where I didnât see a ton of faces that looked like mine. Unfortunately, since I had caught a cold while on vacation, I needed some soup to fix me up for more adventurous days ahead.
My thought process was: 5 stars, but only 3 reviews at the time. Not sure what to make of it, but I figured it was pretty difficult to mess up Tom Kha soup. Two Thai aunties greeted us when we walked up. Very promising. These were faces that looked like mine or my relativesâ.
The food was among some of the best Thai food Iâve had ever (and Iâve lived on both coasts and visited Thailand multiple times with my grandaunt and granduncle, who is born and raised Thai). Wow! It was the soul-warming, congestion-clearing flavor explosion I needed. It is the real deal. Between my tom kha and my partnerâs yellow curry, it hit all the notes â lemongrass, galangal, kaffir lime, and bird chilies. The jasmine rice was cooked extremely well. You can feel the texture of each grain (not overcooked) and still a little sticky.
As far as portion size, we had backpacked out of Canyonlands earlier that morning and made the long drive out via Monument Valley. We had a good appetite but neither finished our food. We were very satisfied. We had the leftovers the following day.
Please come here if you want that real real Thai food. I cannot comment on their more Thai-American stuff but the tom kha and yellow curry were the baddest. Asian aunties are the sweetest and while most will opt for takeout, there are a few seating options (picnic table, bistro set, a few Adirondack loungers and a small coffee table) if youâre just passing...
Read moreChothika Thai Cuisine in Page, Arizona is a great spot if youâre craving something flavorful and comforting while visiting the area. The restaurant has a welcoming, no-frills atmosphere, and the staff are friendly and attentive without being overbearing. It feels casual, but the service and presentation definitely show care and professionalism. The menu covers all the Thai staplesâfrom curries and noodle dishes to stir friesâand the flavors are authentic, well-balanced, and freshly prepared. The green curry is rich and aromatic, with just the right level of spice, while the pad thai strikes a nice balance between tangy, savory, and slightly sweet. Portions are generous without feeling overwhelming, and the prices are very reasonable considering the quality and the location. Itâs also worth noting that the food comes out quickly, making it a reliable choice whether youâre grabbing lunch between sightseeing or looking for a relaxed dinner after exploring Lake Powell or Antelope Canyon. Overall, Chothika Thai Cuisine is one of those unexpected finds in a small townâdelicious food, warm service, and consistent quality. Itâs the kind of place youâll want to come back to whenever...
Read moreDelicious and authentic!! đ€€ For unforgettable Thai cuisine come here! Recommend the Thai green tea, chicken pineapple curry, and pineapple chicken fried rice.
For soup I just love their chicken tum kha.
I also recommend their delicious shrimp chow mein!
Even though pad thai is a famous dish and I have enjoyed other variations I have tried their version several times and unfortunately cannot recommend it- the noodles taste as if they are smothered in mayonnaise and mustard, the chicken used is too low quality. Aside from this famous (and infamous dish) please try it.
Pad Sew Ew is not remarkable either but palatable.
Donât get me wrong- this is your restaurant for authentic Thai and I love their fresh...
