This place was bought out by a local family just over a year ago and, oh boy, they have turned it right around - it’s perfect! The food is simply remarkable. We ate fry bread, burgers, wings, steaks, baked potatoes (to die for!) and the fresh salad bar (it’s well worth repeat visits, we didn’t chow down on all that in a single sitting!) The cosy, comfy, well-stocked bar is an ideal spot to relax and unwind after a day visiting the eye-popping canyons, lakes and local attractions, and the only thing better than the food was the service. Genuinely warm, attentive and friendly, the team behind Steer 89’s growing popularity deserve huge credit. Warmly recommend.

Lyle at the bar was awesome and the reason for an extra star. they have a few local beers on tap, but we only came here for the Navajo taco and weren't disappointed. It's big enough to share as an appetizer or split in two for dinner. It's basically Navajo fry bread topped with mild beef and beef chili, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and red onions. It came with sides of sour cream and Pace salsa. There are few places in town to find Navajo taco and I thought for the excellent service and small bite, this was a good choice for dinner.

I liked the decorations and atmosphere of the restaurant, the prices were reasonable, and the quantities huge, salad bar is ok, they also have a stage, seems like they do live music there, but not when I was there in middle of the week, nice service as well.

Meh. I wouldn’t eat here again. I had the Valentines Day Special Dinner with my Husband. It included an 8oz NY Strip with King Krab Legs, Asparagus, Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, with a dinner roll for a total of $45 (Also a trip to the Salad Bar with a slice of cheesecake) I’m sorry but the meal was not worth the $100 bill I received. (My husband ordered the other 10 oz Valentines Day special) The only thing we enjoyed was the trip to the salad bar. Putting things in order from what I liked the most to the worse: The salad from the salad bar Then it would be the drink we ordered and waited for until we received our main course. (Arnold Palmer) also we only received one refill and that’s when we were leaving. The cheesecake The asparagus The dinner roll The mashed potatoes and gravy Then the over cooked steak (i ordered medium and received well done) and krab legs which was served cold and stuck to the shell with cold butter.

Our server was nice but she hardly attended us and other customers around us. She forgot about us a lot. Hence the drinks being served with our main course by a different server.

OVERALL things could’ve been...

We checked 4 or 5 places and this was the only place in town that had an IPA on tap. So this was the spot for us. The IPA was good. We had the salad bar for dinner, which was only fair. They only had iceberg for lettuce but quite a few other veggie choices. The grape tomatoes were nasty but when I mentioned it they very graciously took them away and brought out fresh ones. The next day we went back for more IPAs and lunch. I had the Angus burger and my husband had the Navajo taco. My burger was very very good, one of the best burgers I've ever had as a matter of fact. The meat was very high quality and it was cooked perfectly. Plus they were extremely accommodating when it came to preparing everything in accordance with my dietary restrictions. My husband also thought his Navajo taco was very good. We were just passing through town but if we're ever in Page again, we will definitely be stopping...

We tried this place because reviews said how good the navajo taco was. It was not good at all. It had uncooked hard black beans dumped out of a can and some kind of ground beef that looked more like plant based meat. My wife and I each had 1 bite and couldn't eat any more. Everyone of the pictures on here of the navajo taco are different from what we received. The restaurant itself was also a little strange. We walked into the front and it was stairs that said residents. I don't know if it was apartments, but strange anyway. There was a sign in the hall that directed us to the restaurant. It led into a small shop with postcards that was selling tours of the dam. The guy asked us if we were looking for the restaurant and led us to a large open room with tables and a bar. We were the only people in the large open room, which should have been like our 3rd or 4th clue to go...
