Arby's — Restaurant in Palm Desert

Our order was incomplete which we only found out when we got home. When we tried to call, the phone just rang and rang and rang and finally a message said that the "mailbox was not set up" It only got worse from there:when I got there, after driving and additional 10.minutes, my food at home was cold The two girls saw me arriving and started giggling saying:" oops, sorry, we forgot to put one sandwich pin there. When I told her that I wanted my sandwich replaced as well, since it was cold, one of the girl became extremely rude and yelling in my face across the counter. The other one chimed in saying:" buy we made it fresh to order, what's the problem?" The problem, I explained, was that my hot sandwich was not sitting at home, cold. I wanted another hot one.". The super rude girl siid she needed to call the manager. For a $6 sandwich? Really? They mess up the order, don't answer their phone then yell at me because I apparently was taking 'too long" telling them which sandwich to replace?. I am an extremely patient and nice person, and this is the first time that I have ever been treated this way. Let me also say that there were probably maybe 5 customers in the restaurant so they were not busy.... Hopefully the manager will not be as rude when I talk to them tomorrow. No wonder they keep changing employees. These two are terribly rude and should not be working there.everyone hs always been nice there and I have been coming to this Arby's for about 20 years. I guess there is first time from everything and these two girls are not what Arby's stands for. Sad and disappointed to have been treated so rudely when they are the ones who were in the wrong. A long yet concise review/ Ok, I had been craving Araby's Forever but never eat there as they are quite expensive. I decided to go and splurge- I hadn't eaten in one in about 10 years. I ordered the Half-Pound Beef & Cheese/ The Brisket Sandwich/ and the Bacon/Ched Burger. I'll start with the burger. It was one of the worst I've ever eaten, I could've made it at home and it would've been an order of magnitude better. Hard, dry, it was easily cooked at least 1 hour before hand and than OVERCOOKED, when it was. Listen, If I'm paying 13 dollars for a Burger= Cook it to order, I'll wait. 2nd- The Brisket. It was ok. It was a little dry, which I figured it would be b/c you have to keep a slab in a steamtable to keep it moist/ and the smoke was a little too much, otherwise it might've been ok. For 13= this was more acceptable, brisket isn't expensive but it takes time to cook, so though I wouldn't buy it again- it wasn't awful. 3rd= The Beef and Ched= AMAZEBALLS. Think I paid like 14/15 for it but it was HUGE and not too much cheese but the right amount and it was just- everything you remember about Arby's growing up as a kid. The place was clean and the cashier typical of a latino. I WILL go back again- but will never ever buy anything except the Beef there- it's too much to hire a real cook so they go with whatever immigrant applies probably at the exclusion of an American, the city has plenty of homeless ones, maybe you should think of hiring them and making the American dream work for them, since they ARE American....

When I went inside there was a cashier who seemed to have a disability which didn't bother me, however, the way the manager treated her was horrific. The young lady greeted me when I came in and went over to start packaging food while the manager came over and took my order. The manager was a short lady with glasses. I got my drink and stood off to the side while I waited for my order to be prepared. while I was standing waiting, I saw the cashier on the phone with a customer but she seemed very confused about the order. While asking the manager for help, the manager grunted at the young cashier and swatted her hand at her in an annoyed manner. Myself and three other gentlemen were there to witness this behavior from the manager. It was very disgusting and disappointing to see a manager act that way to the employee.

Besides the behavior from the manager, the food was also disappointing. I got the small smoked brisket combo and the fries were all little crumbs and broken pieces. I only got three spirals out of that whole box, and the smoked brisket sandwich tasted like fried matter and the only flavor was from the brisket sauce. The only good thing about the meal was...
