We put in a large order (about 30 banh mi and a couple other entrees, spring rolls) and first I want to say that everyone loved the food! The banh mi was great, and people loved the various spring rolls we got (shrimp, shrimp and pork, mushroom). Janel and David were easy to work with in placing the order, and communicating via email and phone. The reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because we had big hiccups with the pick-up time and a couple mistakes with the order (2 missing banh mi). My friends had gone to pick-up the order at the agreed upon time, and they were running late with the order. My friends waited 1 hour for the order to be ready, and I felt really bad that they waited so long on my behalf. La Baguette was very apologetic and I believe they had another large order at the same time.
I appreciated that they gave us free sesame balls and delivered the 2 missing banh mi to our Airbnb. Also, it seems I have a pending partial refund from them so I believe they took the mishaps seriously. All in all, we'd definitely order from them again, but just had issues with the timeliness and accuracy this time around. But they are human, and I appreciate how they managed...
Read moreOverpriced sandwich. 16 dollars for a banh mi is outrageous. Food is overpriced and they don't even have half the stuff on hand in the menu. Ordered a beef banh mi which cost 16 dollars and they ran out of pate. Also wanted to order a spring roll and the lady said they were also out of vermicelli noodle that goes inside the spring roll so I didn't order that. I then ordered a orange smoothie and Vietnamese coffee. Both were disappointments. Orange smoothie came out looking like orange juice that's been froth only Vietnamese coffee was water down with no condense milk and the coffee beans they use isn't even robusto which is unique to Vietnamese coffee. Banh mi did taste okay even with out the pate but since overall experience was so bad that I didn't even want the banh mi. Got 2 banh mi 2 drinks and sesame balls came out to 48 bucks after tax, Is crazy. Go to any real Vietnamese restaurant and get a better experience for half the price. Sesame balls were good...
Read moreI feel bad for the hard working employees and patient customers. From parking to walking out with food to-go in hand, it took 45 minutes… We waited about 10 minutes standing behind one other couple to order before waiting the 35 for it to be made. We ordered the pork belly banh mi and crispy tofu spring rolls with tofu fries and a Thai coffee. It seems they were getting and prioritizing pick up orders over in house orders. Understaffed maybe? To the food: it was very delicious. The sauce that came with the tofu fries was my absolute favorite, I could probably drink that stuff… The peanut sauce for the spring rolls was kinda mid eh. The watery fish sauce wasn’t bad but not my future pick. The Thai coffee was great, bold. The tofu fries were maybe half a blocks worth and the texture was great but they were nothing without the tasty sauce. Overall we’ll be back but will most likely place a to-go order 45 minutes...
