Great leadership by management. If you happened to stop by around 5pm local time Thursday 12 October 2017, you’d have witnessed a rare mammal — a manager demonstrating team leadership when he had no reason to think anyone would notice. He behaved like a successful franchise owner. I told him I only wanted a coffee. He gave a cheerful reply and was moving but made eye contact and offered me a series of options so that he returned with precisely what I wanted. There was no hint of pushy up-selling, but I became interested in the menu even though I’d eaten only a few hours earlier and was in there getting coffee for someone else in our group. The place was clean, with a nice atmosphere and it was clear anything I ordered would be delivered exactly the way I wanted it — another scarce occurrence these days. But the guy looked so young that I was bossy enough to ask a few questions. Turns out looks are not deceiving — he’s probably early to mid 20’s but he’s been in supervisory roles with the company since he was 18 years old. I’d visited the lavatory prior to ordering and I’d be selling them short if I merely stated it was “clean”. If they cut a hole in the wall to the kitchen visitors would feel comfortable placing and receiving food orders in that restroom. I lobbed a loaded question at him — the kind that exposes a person’s true nature when answered, but without them realizing. Without revealing my question or the wording, what I learned is that his operation probably doesn’t generate complaints. That’s because (to sum up his response) he works to get things done right the first time rather than phone people to apologize and make excuses. Everything I observed proves...
Read moreI made a 10 piece meal order and he told me it doesnt come with sides but I can add them and then I said the number 5 meal doesnt come with sides?? And he said oh okay, the number 5 medium or large? I got to the window and he gave me a 20 piece with fries. I said I need the drink and then he asked me if there was 20 piece in there and I said yes and he said that doesnt come with a drink. I said I ordered a 10 peice and I tried handing it to him and he wouldn't accept it and he kept just telling me what comes with what and then he started mumbling so I couldn't hear him. And then I said just give me a drink, just give me a drink. And then he left for a second and then he said other things in a mumbling tone that I couldn't understand and then he wanted me to pay for my drink... even though he made the mistake. And I just gave him the card and then I noticed that I didn't have the correct dipping sauces that I requested and so I asked for them and his response was "you will have to wait on your drink" what?!? How high are you dude?!? Come on, you clearly kept responding incorrectly then how a sober person would respond and you kept mumbling like you were drunk. I understand you work at McDonald's but there are plenty of people who need the money way more than you and will at least be in their right mind when just communicating with the customer. Not coming back to this one, there's plenty more that I can go to that won't have that annoying kid...
Read moreI waited three days to write this review so I could calm down. This is my 4th time going to this location. I tried their new system of ordering inside could not concentrate because of the loud clown sounds from the prep area. . The next three time I used the drive up. Each time had it challenges. This last time was is my last. First speaker sucks you cannot understand one sound. Gave up went directly to the pay window. Placed my order and paid. Directed to next window. Given on my only drink, was directed to next window and wait for balance of my order. 1 Lemonade, 1 Big Mac, 2 Fish fillet and 1 large fry. Waited 5 minutes. Server asked my to check my order. Lucky I did 2 McNuggets, 2 small fries and four cheeseburgers. Waited another 5 minutes. I check my order and now it is correct. When I arrived home the Lemonade was a Water. Fries looked light thick spaghetti. Burger was old, cold and hard. Tossed the fish. LAST TIME FOR THIS PLACE. The Manager needs to control employees. Walk in sit down without ordering and look and listen for a short time. OH!!!! They had no Strawberry Shakes. What TF Ray Kroc is spinning in his grave. McDonald's U Chicago and Monterey Park, CA...
