3 stars because the food was decent, but the service was lousy. Tried to place an order online, but the system didn't give me a way to put in the 10% discount from the card I bought from my neighbor kid for a fundraiser for Palm Harbor High School. I called Longhorn directly to tell them of the issue and wanted to ask if I could just place the order over the phone with them. The girl who answered the phone abruptly hung up on me. I called back to ask the same to the manager on duty, and also told her about the last girl hanging up on me. No apology or excuse given, it was just glanced over. The manager told me to just bring the card in and show it to the bar tender when picking up the order and they'll take care of it. When I gave the card to the girl serving me at the restaurant she told me they aren't taking them. I said "It has your address on it, this agreement was made specifically with this location". She said she'd ask a manager about it, because she's pretty sure they stopped taking these fundraiser cards. I told her I just bought it off the kid a couple weeks ago. She pointed to the expiration date and said it expired in July. I pointed to the year of the expiration and told her that's July 2021, next year. She again stated they don't take them, but she'll see what her manager wants to do. The manager came out to take a picture of the card to send to their "big manager". She told me I should go back to whoever I bought the card and tell them they aren't taking them anymore. Do you really think a 14 year old kid cares or is going to do anything about that? No, but he'd be really disappointed I'm sure. I told them I'll call the school and the marketing company to let them know not to solicit the Palm Harbor Longhorns for this promotion again, because they are not honoring their agreement and tarnishing the reputation of those they made the agreement with. Very shocked at how this place handled developing relationships with the locals. It was obvious while I was in there that this place is more of a bar then a restaurant. We will never go back to this location due to such rude customer service and bad business practice.

I really liked the rustic look of the place I even took a picture of the wall decore and color scheme. Then to my surprise I was confronted by Miss Theresia the manager. I had just got out of the restroom and was texting my daughter. "Can I help you" she said.I thought why would I need help standing outside the restroom? Im a big boy and know how to wait for the availability of a table. I noticed several tables were open and cleared off. I walked over to the hostesses and requested once again for a table and that I did not wish to be seen sttting at a bar. The hostess told me we are under staffed and cannot serve all the tables...also It would be a 25 minutes for a table. I also mentioned how nice there rustic country decor was. I asked then If I could sit at the bar. I had worked hard all day and had looked forward to a pleasent dining experience and didnt want to wait for a table despite the fact that I would be sitting at an alcoholic stocked bar. I then had a seat at the bar . Once again I was pounced upon my the manager Theresia ."Why are you talking to my staff? What are you asking them?"She was loud enough and rude and causing a scene as other on- lookers in the restaurant watched and observed .I simple replied I was admiring the decor took a pic and only wanted to be seated! I also expressed that she was making me feel very uncomfortable. I felt like I was being interigated and Definitely was totally embarrassed. I asked her Several Times to please move away from me and leave me alone! She pressed on and would not stop ! "Why are you bothering my staff"..I was simply asking if its ok to eat at the bar .I then said "get the heck away from me ! "People stairing now... I had had enough umilation. What was her problem ? What kind of customer service is that ? I truely did want to stay and order dinner but by that time I was so upset and embarrassed I had to save face and leave! Never again will I step foot in a Texas Road house.

Went with my guy to have a nice steak dinner. We were seated and our waitress (Tara H.) asked us if we wanted drinks. Since I’m on duty next day I just got water, my boyfriend followed suit. She then asked if wanted appetizers and bread: we said no to appetizers and yes to bread. Bread took a wee bit long to get to us. It came by way of another waiter. Steaks arrived shortly after and they were cooked perfectly. Sides were also good. Broccoli could have used some seasoning, but it was steamed so whatevs. Our waitress was in a hurry to free our table or at least it seemed. As we were finishing our meal she said would you like a to go box? How many? Honestly we wanted dessert, we both did, but she was not affable at all and outsourced different waiters to our table. She could use a little more training in the public protocol area. I suppose she figured if we weren’t drinking… not much money would be made off of us? She was sterile and lacked etiquette. We got one box and left. We thanked the hostesses on the way out but the two of them were on their phones and didn’t pay us any mind. I will not go back to this facility. I work hard in my job, so when I can have a nice meal, it would be nice to be treated cordially like I do everyday at my job. Also…housekeeping is lacking. If you look closely…lots of butter smudges, sauce stains, marks on booths and dust galore. I’ll stick to another location or a real steakhouse where at the very least your server is personable.

Let me explain why I am giving today's visit two stars. We do not frequent LongHorn regularly but we have been to LongHorn enough to have a certain expectation when we go. We have never had the experience we had today. Normally when we dine at LongHorn, we get a table but when we showed up at 4:15pm for an early dinner there was a large party waiting to be sat so we decided to sit at the bar instead. Several were cashing out as we sat down and there was around 5 of us left at the bar during our entire stay. We were greeted by the bartender Daniel relatively promptly and ordered our first round of drinks and an appetizer. My husband ordered a LongHorn Old Fashioned and when it arrived it tasted like an over sweetened Manhattan with an abundance of sweet vermouth. He chose to just drink it and not complain. My wine that Daniel suggested was perfect and very smooth. Our appetizer came out, we ordered the stuffed mushrooms which also was delicious as always. However Daniel did not come back to take our dinner order until our appetizer had already been finished. He took our dinner order 5-10 minutes later in which my husband had to ask to order another drink at the same time. My husband ordered the Outlaw Ribeye with a Caesar salad and mashed potatoes his meal was exceptional and he said was very well cooked. I ordered the strawberry pecan salad and when everything came out the manager that was on expo said she chose to deliver it without the oranges but said she would be right back with the mandarin oranges that belonged on the salad. 10 minutes passed and she never came back so I ended up just starting to eat my salad realizing that also no dressing was on the salad. My husband had to flag the bartender for more dressing. He was always behind the bar but never asked us how anything was, not our appetizer and not our meals. While other customers at the bar had been checked on and asked about their meals we were not. We felt singled out for whatever reason because we were not acknowledged once our food had come out. Anytime we needed something we had to actively flag Daniel down. I have worked in the industry as a bartender and a server for many years and never have I experienced such poor bar service while the restaurant wasn't even during a dinner rush. After we finished our meal my husband respectfully asked for the manager who happened to be the one on expo, she said she would address the concerns that occurred during our visit. We agreed to pay the full tab as we were not looking for free meals but it was the concept of the poor service we received during our dinner this evening. I asked about the oranges she said they were out and I had politely mentioned if they were out she should have at least come back to mention this as I had been waiting for her to come back prior to eating my meal. It is possible there was a lack of staff on this shift but the bartender Daniel did not acknowledge us most of our stay at the bar and as an industry worker I have higher expectations for LongHorn. This was indeed very disappointing but we still tipped our bartender 25% of the original bill after they took 25% off for the inconvenience to our evening. This was an unfortunate evening because I doubt we will be back...
