This place is RAD!!! Did I age myself...don't care! What better word! Whatever age you are, this is a place to spend a few hrs hrs at. It's located in what I would consider a mini mall. Different stores inside and all together. Very unique. I LOVE IT because it is what Palm Springs used to be. Unique boutiques, style and beauty and always a drop of tropical! But Coffee First...get your selfie, photo in pics to plan your selfies. I tried some iced lattes, salmon toast and an oatmeal cookie. Iced lattes were good, not great. I would definitely order again, perhaps a different flavor. We did DulceDeLeche and I think Vanilla. Very healthy tasting coffees. Smoked salmon was pretty good. The bread it was on...Beautiful! Everything on top, nothing Unique or specially seasoned...store bought cream cheese, salmon and capers, some red onion as well. Oatmeal cookie was a little firm. Perhaps a day old or something. Customer service was ok. The 2 guys were professional but not welcoming, think perhaps they were having a bad day. But didn't let them kill our vibe because that whole place...just makes you happy and wanna enjoy your day. Yesss...Carpe Diem Baby!!! There are neat spots inside to enjoy your coffee, plenty tables for 2. Then there is a whole patio section to enjoy the sun, music and atmosphere! Truly a hidden gem in Palm Springs! I absolutely love this place! Especially with my new favorite addiction around the corner...IT Refills!!! Fabulous spot! Must...
Read moreI LOVE the vibe at Cafe La Jefa. This is one of the best cafes I've ever been to.
I love the aesthetics and decor. As soon as your walk through the door, you're greeted by a green leafy wall with a bright pink neon sign reading "but first, coffee" which is great because La Jefa is nestled in a complex of other quirky and cool small businesses and co-working space. Naturally, coffee should be your first stop.
And the selection is diverse. All of the espresso favorites, chagachino (mushroom coffee, which tastes amazing) cold brews, regular and plant milk options, and a selection of teas.
They also boast quite a substantial selection of fresh baked pastries and have cold salad and wrap options if you're in need of a light lunch.
Plenty of seating to choose from. Stay cool inside with AC, but keep an eye on what's going on in the beautiful surroundings through the massive glass windows, or grab a table outside in the faux garden next to the retro airstream trailer. Don't worry, there's plenty of shade out there to gaurd you from the desert sun.
The staff are super cool and helpful and not afraid to suggest to you the best way to have your coffee (I was told to try my iced chagachino with oat milk, at and it was phenomenal).
If you like coffee, good vibes, and dope aesthetics, Cafe La Jefa is the...
Read moreWhile staying at a hotel across the street from this coffee shop, I decided to give it a try-I can say that I won’t be returning for several reasons. First and foremost, I asked for a pour over if they offered them, I was told by one server that they did in fact do pour overs however, the young man behind the counter seemed to either not know what one was or was reluctant to offer one - and they were not crowded so it wasn’t an issue of others waiting and actually, that should never be an issue anyway I just try to be considerate If it’s super crowded, when asking for a pour over. So, I opted for an Americano and they blatantly lied and gave me drip coffee for 5.75 which was really stale coffee not even made with filtered water. Yuk and then some. Thanks for ruining my Saturday morning. The worst part perhaps of all is when I ask them if it indeed was an Americano, which involves pulling shots they lied again and said “oh it’s just a really quiet machine.” Lies and tap water gross coffee😱 This is not what Saturday mornings are supposed to be about, but I’m not surprised I’ve yet to have a decent meal or a decent cup of coffee in the entire city of Palm Springs. The food scene here is extremely...
