Love the food and atmosphere here! Very safe and chill place! I started bringing a bunch of my close friends and family here to bring more business for them! The rating would be way hire but I had a bizarre experience and why I havn't been back.
There was a lady who worked there and said to one of my friends; "This is a family establishment, stop doing all that PDA" But she didn't clarify further on what we did exactly. We weren't doing anything inappropriate, we squeezed in together because we didnt have enough seats. (Give us some chairs if thats the problem you have) but we didnt want to be a bother and didnt mind getting in close because its easier to converse that way. And my straight friends were holding hands in another area of the bar that night, so I could tell what this was really about. I think I hugged my brother and she accused us of being gay. I found her accusations about us and our sexual orientations uncomfortably nosy and disturbing.
I wont be back for a while as that left a really bad taste in my mouth. If we did something actually wrong, tell us in detail what we did because none of us were overly intoxicated and are regulars who keep mostly to ourselves and dont bother anyone. Well, used to be regulars. If my friends getting discriminated like this by the staff unfairly more, I will just stop telling people to come here.
Everyone I have brought in are Straight Allies or LGBTQ but you wont be able to tell which is which just by looking at us or who we are giving a comforting friend arm around the shoulder. Other than that, friendly staff and a fun place to be with a nice variety of...
Read moreFirst time i went, i noticed the bartenders wouldnt talk with me, literally didnt look at my ID or anything, but ordered from my partner and friend so i didnt think much of it & had my boyfriend show my ID & order my drink. We didnt stay too long, just wanted to check it out. Came back another time, got food and a couple drinks with my partner and a few more friends, food was great, we were greated by a completely different bartender! Well we got invited out to enjoy Rhymefest, we showed up excited to finally get some social time with friends, we showed up first and waited a couple minutes before walking around the bar to order a drink for the two of us while we wait. We were turned away, nearly immediately with " we wont be serving YOU." I was like absolutely shocked considering ive rarely stepped foot in this bar let alone any bars in palmer. We didnt argue, i wont make anyone serve me that feels any kind of way out of my own safety anyways. We let our friends know unfortunately we wouldnt be staying to join them for her sons 21st, and hoped them a great night having high hopes they'd enjoy themselves. Well they left very shortly after arriving after seeing the same bartender get in someones face.. i personally wont be attending anymore events hosted at this bar. And id highly suggest everyone walk on egg shells around this establishment while they have those girls on staff. Complete jokes...
Read more⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ (3.5 Stars) Klondike Mike’s & Garcia’s Grill has potential, but based on our experience at the bar, the service left a lot to be desired. Joe and I stopped in for pre-dinner drinks a few times, and while they poured great drinks, the overall experience was pretty lackluster... One night, we were lucky to have a fantastic bartender named Meadow—attentive, friendly, and actually focused on serving customers. But the other times? Not so much. Despite the bar not being busy at all, the bartenders seemed more interested in chatting with their friends behind the bar, drinking on the job, and prioritizing the regulars over new customers. It gave the place a pretty unwelcoming vibe. It wasn’t even prime tourist season yet, so there’s really no excuse for inattentive service. Both Joe and I have worked in the service industry, and we know that a good bar experience isn’t just about pouring strong drinks—it’s about making sure everyone feels welcome and taken care of. A little more professionalism and attention to all guests would go a long way in improving the experience. Would we go back? Maybe—but only if we knew we’d get someone like Meadow. Until then, it’s a decent spot for a good drink, but don’t expect top-tier service unless...
