I will start by saying that I am SO delighted that a mom and pop shop has taken the place of the Starbucks which previously occupied the space. The gorgeous pastries (croissants by Antonio Bachour) lured me in. The owner, Karen kept us there. After picking out a couple of pastries to take home, it began storming. As we waited for the rain to pass, Karen was sweet enough to offer her new customer a drink -on the house. She whipped up a rose cappuccino for me, which was more warming than a cup of hot chocolate. This created the perfect cozy moment as passerby's took shelter inside, rain whipping the windows, and jazz playing in the background. The coffee itself was phenomenal but Karen knows how to craft and balance her drinks to take that coffee to the next level. As a former barista and foodie, I am impressed with her skill and customer service. The French Connection cafe is now a must-visit anytime I come to the Falls!

🥹Finally, a good coffee spot at The Falls!🫶🏻💖 It’s been a long time since a good coffee shop opened in the mall. For those of us who work here, we’re always looking for something tasty, quick, and reasonably priced. I’m so happy they opened — they’ve officially saved my breakfasts and afternoon cravings! 😍☕️ Highly recommend this place, everything is delicious and the owner is the sweetest. 💖 Thank you! Thank you 💕

Went here for the first time today, I loved it!! The employees were very kind and patient, Jay especially was veryyy nice and really made sure to provide us the best service. Pictured in the photos, i got the tiramisu and it was honestly very good. Not too sweet. THANK YOU JAYY!!- nabi Note: The space is pretty small so if it’s busy it can get congested quickly.

The French Connection is a brand new business, and based on my experience, it needs to be a short-lived one. I don’t care how new you are if you’re charging people money for food, it should at least be edible. What I got instead was one of the worst things I’ve ever tasted in my entire life.

Let’s talk about their so-called cheese empanada, a $7 piece of hot garbage. It was tiny, greasy, sad-looking, and I wish that were the worst of it. One bite in and I genuinely thought I was chewing melted plastic. Not even joking. The texture? Rubbery and artificial. The flavor? Nonexistent, except for the faint taste of chemical packaging. It was like someone wrapped nothing in sadness and microwaved it in a trash bag.

And for $7? You could buy a full meal literally anywhere else that doesn’t taste like it was scraped off the floor of a dollar store test kitchen. I’ve had airplane food that was Michelin-tier compared to this disaster.

The employees were actually great, respectful, helpful, clearly doing their best. But they’re being forced to serve food that tastes like it came out of a malfunctioning vending machine in hell. They deserve better than to be associated with this trainwreck.

If this is The French Connection’s idea of launching strong, then close the curtains now. Shut it down, pack it up, and try again, preferably with real food and some shred of self-respect. Because this? This is...
