Horrible customer service.

BEWARE VEGANS or VEGETARIANS!!!! We asked for meatless and we found meat in our food, not spicy and just wrong in every way.

What seemed meatless was not so. After several bites, we found beef. yes beef.

I can only assume they cook their meat dishes where they cook their veggie dishes. VERY UPSETTING TO MY VEGAN COWORKER!

Also their noodles were lumped into chunks and tasteless. no spice no real pad thai flavor....

Order is always wrong and when they promised to fix it, they got me in the store with another order and said they don't remember. I had called in an order before, my order was wrong. So we called and they said he would comp the pad thai. This was a mistake. They never took down my information (even when I specifically asked if he would write it down.) He said to ask for "PAUL."

So how would i know who "Paul" is if not for them telling me to ask for him. I will be writing the establishment for tricking me into ordering more food and when I am ready to pick up, tell me they don't remember and sorry, can't help you......what?

What is sad is we order from them many times every month. They just lost a great customer and subsequently any orders I get for catering or luncheons will be sent to a place where customer service and follow thru are important.

I will be posting on every review site for how they handled this and how awful their customer service was. It really is a shame that they are losing a regular customer...and one who orders large orders for their company. Bad busines and even worse that when our meal was wrong it was then handled like their customers do not...

I’ve been here before. I ordered Pad See Ew and Eggs Rolls. Great. The building is not brand new but more than OK for casual dining in downtown Palo Alto. The staff are mostly friendly and cooperative, thanked me a lot.

When I was done the waiter brought my check. I put my card on the table. It became apparent he expected me to swipe the card myself, which I found uncomfortable and unexpected. I dock one star from Service for that because the interaction was unnecessarily unpleasant. Thaiphoon is not a new establishment. They (should) know a little chit chat helps : ask me about the meal and swipe my card for me.

The spice rating is a scale from 1 to 5, from mild to most spicy. I tried 3 for Pad Thai. Actually not very hot. I’ll try 5 next time.

Highly recommended. Be prepared to swipe your credit card yourself at the table....

Place is really meh. We ordered food and drinks, and this is how everything came out: three out of the four meals, then one of the drinks, then the last meal, and then the rest of our drinks. When we asked the server where our drinks were, he said "the drinks are not my responsibility, you need to ask someone else about drinks". Okay...

I had the Pad Thai, and honestly, it feels like I went to Walmart and got a package of Annie Chun's Pad Thai off the aisle...except I'll be able to buy a 12 pack of Annie's with the money I spent on one plate here.

So far, I'm disappointed with service, disappointed with food, and disappointed with the price. The drinks were good though. But, I don't think this restaurant produced...
