I really wanted to love this pilates studio, but unfortunately I feel the opposite.
For starters, recently they added 3 more reformer machines to the studio... sounds great, but now it is extremely tight space wise, if you take a reformer next to the window you feel it especially. So it feels like they chose making more money per class opposed to prioritizing class comfort.
Also, none of the reformers face the mirror now which makes the decision to add more machines even more confusing.
Second, I find the instructors prefer a 'hands off' teaching method, they rarely demonstrate the exercise on a reformer themselves (even though every class I have taken there is a free machine) and almost never come around to adjust you or teach you, and when they do, it's a subtle whisper which I do not find productive, because I want to learn during these classes. If a student is arching their backs, announce and explain to the class the importance in keeping a straight back. Often times you are left to look around the room and follow others... which makes you wonder why you left work early or prioritized an in person work out.
But the worst part of it all, there is one instructor who is clearly new, I have taken two of her classes and I plan to avoid any more of her classes.
She reads off of a paper, is EXTREMELY slow, nothing is more frustrating then a boring work out that is putting you to sleep. She needs to be told no more slow Taylor Swift slow songs, and have some energy to your voice, but most importantly look at your students and adjust us and teach us as needed!
Lastly, I find this studio does things to be 'personal' but it's the least personal studio I have ever visited. On your first visit you get a note card saying welcome.... but I notice we are rarely spoken to by instructors after our first calss... rarely do you receive a 'welcome back!' or 'nice to see you again' 'great work out today!' 'does anyone have any injuries?' ... so it feels as though we are all strangers and there is no relationship between the instructors and the students.
All in all... if you are an experienced pilates student and don't need instructor support, it's probably a fine...

Iāve been practicing Pilates for over 10 years and have attended classes in major cities like New York, San Francisco, Dubai and Sydney. Unfortunately, my experience during the two-week trial at MNT was extremely disappointing.
I have a previously broken toe that has healed, but I still cannot wear fully enclosed socks comfortably. Iāve been using Nike Studio Wrapsāspecially designed for reformer Pilatesāfor years without any issues. At MNT, however, I was told I must wear fully covered socks or I would not be allowed to continue my trial. I tried to explain my situation to the instructor Ann, but was met with dismissiveness and a lack of empathy.
Beyond that, the quality of instruction was poor. The instructors seemed unable to demonstrate or perform the exercises themselves, and provided little to no guidance or modifications for clients who were struggling. I felt the program lacked thoughtful structureāit seemed like a copy of generic high-intensity Pilates routine that didnāt translate well to a classic reformer (as opposed to a Megaformer, where that format might make more sense).
Overall, I left feeling unheard, unsupported, and disappointed by the lack of professionalism and care. I would not recommend...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting MNTstudio, a remarkable social wellness club in San Francisco, and I canāt speak highly enough of my experience. The studio beautifully blends an athletic style with the foundational principles of Pilates, ensuring that every session is not only invigorating but also safe and accessible for all levels.
One of the standout features of MNTstudio is the kindness and professionalism of the front desk staff. They immediately create a welcoming environment, making it easy to feel at home from the moment you walk in.
The hands-on adjustments during classes were particularly noteworthy. The instructors provided personalized attention that truly enhanced my practice. These adjustments were skillfully executed, ensuring I felt supported and guided throughout my workout.
Whether you're a seasoned Pilates enthusiast or just beginning your wellness journey, MNTstudio offers a nurturing atmosphere combined with expert instruction. I highly recommend this studio to anyone looking to elevate their fitness routine while being part of a...
