Ordered dang near everything on the menu because I had heard such great things. I ordered a family meal with a bucket of chicken and four sides and biscuits. Also ordered a rotisserie chicken.

Let me begin by saying, the fried chicken was amazing. My husband was a little put off because he thought the meat was a little too salty. It's clear that this joint brines their chicken before breading it and frying it. This makes the actual meat inside the fried coating super juicy and saline which to me, is a PERFECT bite. Because we so often heavily rely on the fried breading to be flavorful, the actual chicken is just an afterthought that you douse in some sauce and eat. To me, you need no sauce for this chicken, the outer breading is well seasoned AND the chicken inside is salty and juicy! A definite hit in my eyes. The sides were all good, although I was a bit disappointed in their Mac and cheese, it had a sour kick to it, that I did not appreciate. The mashed potatoes were nice and smooth and comforting. The biscuits were light and delicious, slathered with delicious honey butter. Loved it!

It was the rotisserie chicken that SEVERELY disappointed. Everyone knows the real star of the show, when it comes to rotisserie chicken, is the slow roasted and perfectly browned skin of the bird. In this case, there was a char instead of a nice caramelization of the fatty skin. Black char, burned to a crisp, to the point that the actual meat, even under the skin held that burned and charred flavor. That was disappointing, to say the least!

Overall, good food, and I would definitely go back for the...

We drove to the 87th street location to try the chicken sandwiches we've been seeing Instagram. I can say the food is cooked to order as we waited the normal chicken cooking time. It was a bit pricey compared to other places like Hot Chi and Fry the Coop but I figure it's the way it's prepared, no biggie and some proceeds go to a good cause.

We had the hot honey sandwich and the Nashville hot "super hot" a long with a shrimp dinner. I like to start off with the good, the shrimp and seasoned fries are great, no sauce needed but I would have like the buffalo sauce but was told after I got my food they didn't have any, even though I ordered it at the register when I paid. The hot honey wasn't bad, just not spicy like noted on the menu. The Nashville hot was not hot at all. I had to take it back in and ask if they even put anything on it and they took it back and added seasoning but still NOT SUPER HOT or even SPICY. Both breast were very plain on the sandwiches. The chicken was definitely juicy. The Nashville hot sandwich was so messy, not put together well at all. See photo...I just ate the chicken once the slaw and sauce mangled the bread. I just wasn't impressed. My son and I have a past time of traveling all over the city to try the next best chicken wings and sandwiches. And if they are great we frequent often, shout out to Buffalo Joe's in Evanston and Hot Chi on 87th & Dan Ryan. But nonetheless if this Holy buckets was a slam dunk, we would've been regulars since I have immediate family in the area. Maybe I will go during the day when it's an older staff for...

Great food, horrible customer service. Louie, if that's his name... arab, grey beard.. not the owner of the establishment, scoffed at us when we asked for honey even though the owner gave us some just two days ago. When he told us they don't sell honey I said yes you do, the owner gave us some two days ago for 75¢ a cup, he said “really? What's his name?” I said I'm not sure and he laughed. We are Muslim in a Muslim establishment, we asked to pray in the private room and he said no he cannot allow that, he'd have to call the owner. My fiancé said okay call the owner he said "you really want me to call the owner just to ask if you can pray?" My fiancé got frustrated and said nevermind. You can have great food, a nice restaurant but bad customer service will run your business into the ground. Hope they can fix this. Drove all the way from Columbus, Ohio just to experience Halal Fried Chicken and in return got treated poorly.

Update* whoever replied to my review basically called me a liar. Louie was the name on the receipt.I’m not sure if it was the man we spoke with HOWEVER HE DID indeed deny us prayer. He said “it’s a private room, the boss isn’t here I can’t let you in” my fiancé said call him the man replied “You want me to call just to ask him if you can pray?” A bystanding customer even got involved and said he was being awful. The room was not occupied it was very empty. We seen prayer mats so we were confused when we got denied and ended up praying outside. Check your cameras. 05/30 around 3:30 pm. Maybe learn to stop disrespecting your...

Holy bucket was our favourite fast food spot until last weekend, when we had an extremely unpleasant experience. We went with a family of 14 for lunch on Sunday, 10/23. First of all, please be aware that they’ve a surcharge on credit cards which isn’t mentioned anywhere in their outlet neither did they bother to inform before the transaction was made. Upon showing our disappointment, their employee did not even show any concern nor offered any apologies for the inconvenience caused. Secondly, they charged us wrong for the Zinger burger which was listed as $13.99 but the store charged $14.99. Upon asking they said the prices have increased but were not changed on their menu screen. Ideally, they should’ve at least informed us before. Now, when the order arrived, the biscuits were missing. We had to remind them ourselves and again, no apologies offered. Our pizza arrived about 40 minutes later and was not well-cooked at all. Absolutely no effort was made to turn our unfavourable experience into a favourable one. It was extremely sad to witness the worst customer service at one our favourite Zabiha Halal fast food places. They have definitely lost a loyal customer forever.

Great food, great service, great environment. A staple chicken restaurant in the Bridgeview area. A must have if you like chicken bowls with fries and mash potatoes and more. The chicken bowls (holy buckets) are their best product.

Review for Holy Chicken If you’re looking for a chicken restaurant that blends flavorful creativity with a touch of fun, Holy Chicken is a must-visit. The name sets the tone—playful and memorable—but it’s the food that truly delivers. Atmosphere Holy Chicken embraces a casual yet lively ambiance. The décor is modern, with pops of vibrant colors that give it a cheerful and welcoming vibe. It’s a great spot for families, friends, or even a casual date night. Food The menu is a delightful homage to chicken in all its glorious forms—whether you’re craving crispy fried chicken, tender grilled options, or even saucy wings that pack a punch. Their signature “Chicken Sandwich” is a standout, with a perfectly seasoned, juicy fillet paired with fresh toppings and a unique house sauce. Sides like their golden fries and creamy sauces, complement the mains perfectly. Service The staff is attentive and friendly, always ready to recommend their personal favorites or adjust orders to accommodate preferences. Even during peak hours, the team keeps things moving efficiently.
