Buddy's Seafood Market — Restaurant in Panama City Beach

Requested that they don’t add butter or vegetable oil to my shrimp when steamed. I made them aware of this several times. The girl at the counter rolled her eyes at me when I asked her to make sure they knew not to put butter in my shrimp. With an attitude she told me the person who prepares the food knows at the time you order. I did not see her communicate this to him. We were the only customers in the store at this time. When I went to go see the guy prepare my shrimp he added the butter then he tried to wash it off and start over again. I made the girl at the counter aware. At this time there was a man present and her attitude changed. She grabbed a handful of shrimp tossed it in the bag and said don’t worry I’ll take care of you. I was beyond annoyed not sure if I even got what I paid for. The shrimp tasted grainy as if they were not properly cleansed. Who knows. Treat your customers with respect. This place left a bad impression. We are all about supporting local businesses but the attitude was unnecessary and the shrimp did not taste good. I’ve been to several seafood markets. I’m sure the food is great, but the service is terrible. Place gave me a headache it was so disorganized with four or five attendants and fresh seafood bar, many customers. Yes I came right before dinner time. Came for 1lb of Jumbo shrimp at 5pm. A gentleman in front of me ordered 10lbs but that was to put them close if not out of jumbo. He politely offered to give a Lb of it for me and the attendant out right refused his request to do so. She was very abrupt, loud and disgruntled. As it turned out, there were a little left over available for purchase after she weighed out his 10lb, she placed them back on the bar and apparently they were up for grabs with another customer before I was offered them. Had to be a Karen to get 1 lb.

As for lady attendant, it’s probably not her fault, she was probably the owners kid or something and it can’t be fun to smell like fish everyday when you go home to your husband.

If you want to be yelled at by an abrupt overweight unhappy fish smelling employee and scrap for fresh seafood that probably taste great here is your place. I wouldn’t know about taste though because I’m too angry to...

First, we were sent out with only half of our paid-for order and only knew we didn't receive all of it because another customer ran out to inform us of the mix up. When we mentioned that the order seemed light, the rude guy steaming the food said it was all there and sent us on our way. We came back in and got the rest of our food without an apology or explanation. Second, when we arrived back at our condo we discovered that the food was barely cooked. The shrimp we're completely raw and the crab legs were warm outside the she'll but the meat was ice cold. We called and we're told to just bring it back and swap it out but that wasn't an option since we're were sharing a car with others all week and someone ran out for an errand. No refund or partial refund was offered. We were told the manager was away at the time so we didn't get to make our situation known to anyone who seemed to care. We had high hopes due to the high rating of this place but it was sadly a big disappointment. We wound up broiling it the rest of the way so it was edible.
