What a delightful find one otherwise uneventful random midweek day! Several of us were looking to try someplace we had never been for a late lunch and The Copper Tap Grill popped up in Google. We arrived at a weird between-time and had the place entirely to ourselves. It was a delightful experience from start to finish. With wonderful food and excellent service. Of course, the refreshing pineapple hard ciders and raspberry lemon drop martini enhanced the whole experience.

We decided to try several dishes to share, and each one was significantly better than expected, especially given the unassuming minimalist bar/Cafe surroundings.

*Mama Rose's Homemade Meatballs (3) w/seasoned ricotta in marinara with a toasted baguette - This dish was deliciously heavy on the garlic and we enjoyed it enough to keep the dish until every last bit of the garlicky sauce was sopped up with the lovely light baguette and extra bread we ordered just for that purpose. (Our only recommendation to chef is go much easier on the salt)

**Because we did request bread, the fresh warm loaf was served with a generous dish of pesto garlic oil that set off a whole other culinary "died and went to Jersey" kinda experience which naturally required an additional loaf. 🤩

*Cheesy Shrimp Crab Bites w/remoulade - Were decadent, very tasty and crisp without being at all greasy and the remoulade was light and flavorful without impinging on anyone's spice tolerance.

*Pan seared Scallops w/Linguine in garlic sauce - Were perfect, simple, expertly cooked and exactly what you hope for but seldom receive. Thank you!

*Grouper Caprese - An elegantly conceived and presented dish with fine dining vibes and tremendous potential. (Suggestion to Chef: either plan to serve this as a cool temperature dish, or make a point of placing the tomato and fresh mozzarella topper just before serving, to prevent changes in texture. Hot grilled shrimp garnish on the side instead of top of the mozz. Consider a bigger pinch of dressed micro greens or fine diced tomato/onion/basil)

OMG I completely forgot about the fresh salad with tasty and unique Parmesan dressing that Mom loved. We also had the side of fresh veggies and ate every last bite between us, because they were so fresh and simply done and we couldn't stop eating them. 👀

Conclusion: This local bar "joint" kind of place is actually FINE DINING IN DISGUISE. It only needs some table linens, flickering candles and a few other small decor touches to round out the wall fireplace-intimate ambiance. We'll be back ASAP to try literally everything else...

So this is my first time being there, I work for a company that delivers food and beverages to restaurants and I was in the area during lunch time and decided to check it out.

Immediately upon entering I was greeted by the hostess and a gentleman who I took to be the owner. I got my order to go however service was phenomenal and they even threw in a soda, I had forgotten to order one.

After looking at their well-rounded menu I settled on the shrimp po boy which, and it's not a criticism, was pretty standard and I mean that in the best way possible.

The only real criticism I have of the sandwich is the fact that it was sort of standard, I have certainly have had better po boys but that's not to distract from the quality of the sandwich itself, and more specifically the bread, the bread was absolutely phenomenal I mean truly.

Also eating the sandwich I couldn't help but get a hint of coleslaw, I could be imagining it because the item description on the menu doesn't list coleslaw however the two bites that I had where I tasted the coleslaw were the two best bites of the whole sandwich, coincidence?

The sandwich came with phenomenal waffle fries that are sprinkled with Parmesan I believe, just fantastic overall.

So yeah between the good sandwich and the better waffle fries and the even better service,I'd recommend it, Heck I'd...

I would go back to CTG for happy hour. The ambiance, decor, cocktails and staff were spectacular. The food, not so much. I ordered the mussels and linguini. The dish was beautifully prepared, but lacked flavor. It was room temperature, that was my biggest issue. My friend had the debris sandwich and it was cold. My other friend ordered the shrimp/pesto special and it was very good. We also ordered the chicken and waffles. We were all taken back when the homemade Belgium we were expecting looked and tasted more like an Eggo waffle. We were disappointed that all the beers on tap were empty and being replenished. There was only ONE cold beer to choose from at the time. We were there at 5:00pm. Very disappointing being that this is a tap house. Our server was amazing and we tipped her well even though we were disappointed. The restaurant was very well decorated. I could tell a lot of thought was put into the decorating. For dessert we ordered the “RASPBERRY SORBET SERVED WITH A DELICIOUS MILK CHOCOLATE DIPPED WAFER” and I’d like to point out that the “milk chocolate dipped wafer” is just an Oreo. Normally desserts are served with a sprig of mint, but this one was served with flat leaf parsley. All in all, this place looks and sounds good, but food wasn’t much to...

Lunch at Copper Tap Grille today. Two of us shared the cheese stick appetizer. They're huge. Easily 2-3 times larger than most places. They came out crisp and hot but not greasy. Our table had the crab cake entree which came with a small salad, vegetables, and some mashed potatoes. The sides were ok....not great but not bad either. The two crab cakes were big and had a good balance of seafood, peppers, and breading. They were crisp and hot but not greasy. The mussels over linguine was the star of the meal. The sauce complimented both the mussels and the pasta nicely. We were glad there was a nicely toasted baguette to sop up every last drop. Our service was a little on the slow side but we're not sure how many tables inside our waitress was covering on top of handling the entire patio. They have a bar, indoor seating, and a covered patio. No real noticable covid precautions but that's not unusual for Bay County. They do use paper menus. Take that as a plus or minus depending on your personal view of the pandemic. Tables were spaced fairly well and we were only there for lunch on a Wednesday. Not sure how crowded it would feel at peak hours. We enjoyed our meal and with them having the patio option we'd eat there again.

The reason for only 3 stars is for two reasons. Overall love the decor, but we arrived before the rush of the dinner crowd and even with less than 10 people in the dining room it was extremely loud. We were a table of 4 in the back corner and had to speak very loudly to try and have a conversation. A table of 6 sat down beside us as we were finishing our main course, by that time we had given up trying to talk to one another. We wanted to order dessert, but opted to stop by a local grocery store and pick something up from bakery so we could go home and have a conversation. Secondly, my friend and I both ordered the CTG Grouper dinner. Both of our dishes were very salty. Hopefully management can find a solution to absorb some of the noise so people can enjoy a conversation without having to try and read lips. We also want this establishment to do well, so are willing to go again sometime in the future if they resolve the noise issue. (The martinis were very good!)
