The Beanery — Restaurant in Papillion

I have tried this place a few times now and I'm sorry to say it's just not good. The baristas are always kind and cordial, but the quality of the coffee & food is awful. I've tried multiple menu items and they have all honestly been disappointing. Today my husband and I ordered a hot latte and a chai latte, both of which just tasted like scalded milk. My latte was just a regular latte, no syrup added, and I could hardly taste any coffee. I've ordered a mocha in the past that tastes like straight up chocolate milk. The breakfast sandwich I got today was melted to the parchment paper it was served in. My husband had a breakfast burrito that was soo small and not worth the price. I want to like this place and it's nothing against the people working there or anything, in fact I was served at the drive thru quickly and kindly. I'm writing this review in hopes they will do something to address the poor quality of their coffee.. baristas possibly need to be reeducated on how to pull shots properly/test for quality control. I don't think I'll be returning...

Amazing place! I had my coffee made fast. It was very good. The barista was very friendly and explained everything very well including what the best flavors are. The service was excellent! This place has a wide selection of flavors. I got the “Jacob Knows” (I think that was the name of it) and it was good. I also got a Nutella flavored iced latte and it was delicious. They are great at combining flavors to make a unique taste. The location is excellent and it is a very convenient stop. The exterior of the shop is very nicely done and looks great. It has a very classic sort of feel to the outside.

It was an excellent shop. I very much enjoyed the shop and will stop again. I would highly recommend this place.

Also, the PRICE is excellent. It was $11 for my two lattes. It was definitely cheaper than Starbucks or Scooters. And better in quality. I would highly recommend this place. Definitely give it a try if you are...

Wrote the review 2 years ago about how much I love this place. They still have great coffee but there is one very negative, and potentially dangerous change. We have a severe nut allergy in the family. The new pastries are not safe. We have ordered a red velvet cupcake and a double chocolate muffin. Both should have been nut free but were not. Luckily discovered before ingested. Personally, I was disappointed in the packaging on the lemon bread that announced it was neither local nor fresh. Stick with just coffee and be happy!

Not sure I want to share with others...lol. This place is amazing. Incredible coffee, far better than the big chains, great customer service, and great selection of food items.
