I wanted to like this buffet. I really did. People rave about it. Say it's great. So I have been there 3 times. Hoping I was catching a off day. All three times I have been beyond disappointed.
This last time we went, right off the bat, we had to wait forever for our server to show for a drink order. My mother had gone to get us soup cause we were hungry, but we didn't want to miss the server. Soup was alright. We finished our soup and we're about to give up on it when she goes to the middle bar area, and some one tells her she should maybe hurry up. She comes to our table saying "I'm not hurrying up. I'm tired and lazy. Going to take my sweet time" and continues on telling us this before taking our order. I'm sure we looked stunned. After all, we had just sat there for a long time waiting for our tired lazy server.
Food selection is awful, especially in the Asian section. It's a tiny counter with nothing but vegitables. Not even fancy veg. In general, they don't have hardly any protein outside the carving station. They did have breakfast food but it looked like it had been out since breakfast, and this was at about 1:30 or 2 pm. The eggs benadict was sitting in a pool of grease and the sauce had a notable skin on it. Ew.
But we tried to pick foods that looks like they could be okay. Hard to do when your mother has a pesto sensativity and they are coating half of the food in it.
We grab several things and went to the table. By the end of the meal, I think we had only ate maybe 1/4 of the food, which was mediocre. The rest of the food was downright AWFUL. fish was like fish jerky it was so over cooked and guessing old. I had a shrimp wrap that the veg seemed of and the wrap so hard it was like rubber I could not bite through. The California rolls were nearly all rice. The cheese blitzes were nothing but cottage cheese in a wrap, also over cooked.
Even the desert was rather inedible. The worst of it was a brownie so dense and dry that you could have used it for bricks. Only two edible things we found was a cookie, and the soft serve ice cream.
We left the buffet not only not full, but I was nauseous and mom was sick. Every time we have gone my mother has gotten ill.
Honestly, I have no intentions of going back, nor recommending anyone eat there. Disgusting food, poor service. There are amazing places with great food here in Vegas, and this is not...
Read moreHeard so much about Las Vegas buffets and were excited to finally try it. However, we were utterly disappointed by Bellagio's lunch buffet. It's hotel buffet, only with more options, at premium price, but not premium food selections or quality.
Service: indifferent and slow. I had to stack up my plates real high so that they can see it, and would then bother to come over to take it away. This was the case even before the restaurant got busy.
Environment: Clean and spacious. Dim yellow lights are not my favorite ambience, looks tired and aged. Flies flying around, should I expect little friends?
Presentation: the food looks tired, poorly presented/cut. Look at my photos and decide for yourself, does the food look appetizing?
Food: Uninspired food that are not even up to the standard of food court food. The cooked fish were overcooked and under seasoned. The pizza fillings were generous, but it was average pizza. The sushi were the cheapest quality sushi you can find, no salmon or avocado in it, just vegetables, com'on!! Steak... where's the steak!? In my books, no steak = no buffet, especially premium priced buffets!! Stir fry vegetables, Panda Panda does better, in both taste, presentation, selection and quality! Egg Benedict, this is my favorite, good hollandaise sauce and runny yolk, yum! But for this to be a highlight is pretty sad.
Dessert: Decent, but nothing exciting and poorly presented. Each slice was cut haphazardly in uneven sizes and rough edges. Sincerely, the food courts does better, at a tenth of the price!
Price and low down: $28.99 for weekday lunch. If you are eating alone, sure, a buffet here may be worthwhile as you can eat more selections of food. However, I would still recommend to go elsewhere for better value for money. If you are eating as a group, I definitely recommend going to eat at different restaurants, even for take outs. It's better to eat food that is prepared, cooked and presented with care, precision and heart. Bellagio's buffet is quantity...
Read moreSo expensive for unimpressive food. I had high hopes; We came in expecting something amazing as it was so pricy to get in. At first glance it was quite promising and seemingly fancy. Little did l know I would be leaving… full of regret. There is an expansive variety of food and a great selection of drinks, but a disappointingly low offerings of vegetables or greens beyond basic salad mix or fruit. While l was getting my plate I saw something quite concerning crawling around on the countertop. A cockroach. Now I don’t encounter these creatures quite often in Canada but I do believe that was what I saw, so need l say more? That should’ve been the warning for me to turn around but after paying that hefty fee, I had to stay. After getting my first plate, I came to the cruel realization that the food was really just.. mediocre. The meat was quite dry, the pasta lacking, actually the salmon was pretty good in my opinion. But, not seconds after I finished my plate, my stomach was hurting quite bad. My family seemed to be fine when I asked them if they felt the same, so maybe it is “just me” yet honestly I feel a strong connection between the circumstance of feeling ill to the buffet food. We probably know what happens next, but to move on.. I came back ready to try dessert and I was looking forward to this the most but again, I was disappointed. Truly just lacking and nothing extraordinary. I could hardly finish my plate and felt bad to leave so much uneaten but the sheer fear from the earlier stomach upset made me hesitate to eat on. Nevertheless, this place was a burning plane crash that I just wish we...
