I heard about this restaurant approximately a year ago and have been wanting to visit for a while, but have always been either too busy to visit, or just lazy because I didn't want to drive the distance from my house. Regardless, the day finally arrived; my family and I visited this restaurant on 4 Aug 2024 for brunch. When we pulled into the parking lot, I was surprised, yet glad that it wasn't as busy....and, it was pretty cool to see Ecto-1 parked in one of the stalls. We walked in the restaurant and were immediately blasted with all the 80s décor - there's no doubt that you could figure out what kind of (or style) restaurant this was.

The employees that were working on the day of our visit were great - super friendly and operated efficiently. I was slightly disappointed that I didn't get to see "George McFly" walking around the restaurant and interacting with us, like I've seen in previous videos and pictures of this restaurant. One of the employees was dressed in a Cobra Kai outfit which obviously matches the theme of this business...but like I said, it would've been awesome to see others dressed up and socializing in the dining area.

We ended up ordering the Breakfast Club Sandwich, Culture Club Sandwich w/Tots, Adult Chicken Strips w/Fries, and the Ziggy Piggy Challenge. In general, the food was good; definitely wasn't the best I had, nor was it the worst. I did wish there were more options for breakfast entrées, but I also understand that this café was designed mostly for lunch/early dinner items. One of my favorite things that we ordered was the tots because they were shaped like Tetris pieces, as advertised...so that was pretty cool. The Ziggy Piggy Challenge could only be accomplished by two or less people so my wife and daughter attempted it since that was one of the main reasons to visit this restaurant. Unfortunately, they didn't succeed so they didn't get on their Hall of Fame, nor did they get the Ziggy Piggy pin (or sticker), but it was still entertaining to watch them try it.

Overall, the price-to-quantity/quality ratio was reasonable; there was an adequate amount of seating available for customers (this includes the entire room on the opposite side of the restaurant; and the customer service was wonderful. I can't say I'm a huge fan of the location this business is at, but then, I don't ever see myself visiting this restaurant/area in the late hours of the evening. Definitely recommend this restaurant...

First I do want to address some of the negative reviews.

I saw two negative comments about how their shakes took 20-40 minutes to get out to them. And it seems they commented it on the same day since they both recounted an event of disruptive customers. 1st of all- if you see there are disruptive customers AND it's busy (one of the people said they ordered 5 SHAKES) then- yes. Of course it's going to take a while? They're busy and I see they don't have a TON of staff cause it's just a small little establishment! A bit of a wait should be expected! Especially with how popular this spot is! There's other comments on how the food isn't amazing and it's overpriced. I think the food is pretty good!! I mainly go there for the shakes and the vibes. And really- if you have an issue with a $12.00 sandwich then just don't get the food! With how expensive things are they probably have to make the prices a little higher to keep the place going! There's so many awesome lights and things in there that I really don't mind supporting the business by paying for slightly expensive food. Anyways-

I love this place! The Mozzarella sticks are good and I LOVE the captain crunch shake! The employees are also really nice! Seriously to the people that work there you have seriously made it such a good experience. Thanks for being so friendly!! Shout out to that one person with those sick piercings and the cool hair with highlights.

Sorry for the crazy long review. TLDR: sometimes the food and shakes take a while. They get busy. If you're in a rush then this isn't really the place for you.. The food can be a bit pricey? So also be aware of that. But it's such a cool place and I really do recommend!

please be nice...

If you remember the 1980's -- or just wish you did -- YOU WILL LOVE IT HERE. Amazing music. Delicious food. Wonderful staff. They really understood the assignment here! A cute little place near UNLV. Well worth a trip. If 2025 has you down [or -- insert current year] indulge in some healthy escapism at BACK TO THE 80'S!

You'll notice the Ghostbusters car parked in front of the Cafe, that's when the experience starts (Ofcourse I stopped to take a photo). When you enter the building you'll hear 80's music playing. You'll also see posters of your favorite 80's movies displayed on the walls, a mini arcade area, and some cool things you can purchase. The menu reminds me of a comic book. Take a menu from the counter and bring it with you to your table. When you're ready to order you can place it at the counter and they'll bring the food to you when it's ready. I ordered the YO MTV CHICKEN WRAP. I probably won't be ordering this again, because I felt it was too dry for my liking, but I'm sure someone else would appreciate it more than I did. I added ranch, ketchup, and mustard to the wrap to give it a little more flavor and texture. Next time I'll just order a burger or chicken wings. I also had a side of fries and a Captain Crunch milkshake, The fries were nicely seasoned and the milkshake was a treat. The workers were nice and welcoming, and the place was clean. Overall it was a great experience! Two thumbs up!! I like the vibe here, and I'll definitely be back to try the other menu items.
