Tacos del julio UNLV — Restaurant in Paradise

Since Tacos del Julio is the jumping off point for this year's, errr, um, the first of many Maryland/Trop Taco War(s) and Carryout Water, it is staying with tradition by starting this whole enchilada here. If you weren't aware of MTTWCW I, shame on you. Shame. On. You. I suggest you take a step back and reassess your life choices; the slippery slope starts by casually denying the existence of MTTWCW I and tsunamis into full blown Alzheimer's water boarding. You've been warned.

Now, about these tacos.

*To appear non bias, the coverage of MTTWCW I will take place in a disorganized and non chronological format, spanning over each of the seven joints competing. For the pea shaped sake of brevity and importance, there may or may not be numbers that might correspond to the timing of the story and its relation to the relative time and ambiguity of theoretical string theory as it pertains to the absence of taco sauce on said taco.

Just left this place and I was very disappointed with my food . First, I ordered chips and guacamole . The chips are not homemade, it tasted like it came from a cheap $2 bag you can purchase from Walmart. The guacamole was not fresh and they mixed in mayonnaise or sour cream. I can't figure out which one and they added like a lime salt and Hella lime juice. It was nasty! I ordered the Pastor and Carne Asada over a baked potato with cheese. Everything lacked flavor, no salt or seasoning. Terrible!! I only took 2 bites. Customer Service was great just the food was horrible. I tasted my husband's rice and beans ...bland ! No salt or seasoning again! I will never go here again or...

I went to get my shrimp fix at Tacos El Cabron and found out that they were gone and replaced by Del Julio I decided to give this place a try. I should have turned around and left as soon as I dealt with the rude service but I was on a time crunch for my lunch break. Flavors were not good and nothing tasted fresh. The place was not busy so I don't know why it would be dirty. I asked for no onions and they put onions, but once again since I didn't have time, I just had to pick them off instead of getting a re-fire. I'm not going to go out of my way to come here. The attitude and snotty looks of the employees were enough. I didn't even take pictures cuz I spent all my time...
