I don't come to the Cox Pavilion often, but I'm here every season to watch the UNLV Lady Rebels play basketball. It's a nice home for them, and it's an intimate place to watch sports.
The seats are old but comfortable, and parking is free. Security is usually a breeze, and the concourse never feels too crowded. There's a good variety of concessions offered, and there are plenty of bathrooms so you'll rarely encounter a line.
I sometimes bring my mom, who has to ride an ECV, and there are some issues if you're in a wheelchair or use a cane. This is not a great arena for accessiblity, so if you have special ADA needs, it's best to allow for a lot more time. There are a ton of stairs to climb just to get up to the front doors of the arena (they have an elevator if you can't walk, but it's a hassle to use).
This is an old school arena, and it has the feel of a high school gym. For the Lady Rebels games, seating isn't assigned so you can sit...

On top of that, the seats are the cheap folding kind that cannot support small children and the chairs would fold up on various children in the audience causing them to fall behind them---- and low and behold, it happened to our little girl, too. Chair folded up on her ejecting her into the row behind us where she flew under the chair behind her, hitting her head on the floor. The night was over after that and we left the show an hour early. On-site EMTs were useless; completely less than caring and less than helpful. Consider your audience and please don't set-up seating that we have to pay a ticket for that does not safely hold children. And try not freezing your audience like its the ice age all over again. Ridiculous...will never return to this...
Read moreI was there for the Vegas preview convention put on by the Las Vegas metro chamber. Are you up to connect with someone management from the Raiders and also City management for licensing so we can bring our show town. this is a giant arena and there were trade show booths around the perimeter. It's a pretty organized Center. Parking was tough. I paid $4 to get into the parking around and drove all the way around to the roof and back down and never found one open spot so I ended up parking in and out zileri parking lot after seeing that the main parking lot was also full. It was about a two-block walk from my car to the front door of the building. Not too bad. Maybe someday we can sell this place out! It'll be worth the walk for you if we get to put our show in...
