We came to your restaurant to celebrate my dad’s 60th birthday. This was a follow-up to his 50th birthday, which we celebrated there a decade ago. We still have fond memories from that evening, including he and I choosing the “22” lobster tail, only to find out that the pricing was per ounce. LOL (It never gets old)
On this visit, we had a couple drinks and a bottle of wine at the bar and the service was exceptional. However, this was not the case once the 7 of us were seated for dinner. While there could have been other factors influencing his mood, we immediately noticed that it seemed that our server, Michael, was unhappy that we already had drinks and a half bottle of wine. He rattled off the specials for us and then took our appetizer order. He was very aggressively trying to push us to order appetizers and kept saying “my favorite is”. When he came back to take our food order, rather than start with the only lady at the table, he started at the head of the table, as if he was following a seat location rather than the proper order. We asked him to start with the lady at the table and again, he seemed visibly irritated and flustered that he was not able to start in the order that he wanted to.
When the food was brought to our table, the “runners” did a great job by placing her dinner down first and then placing the others. However, there was a 5-6 minute lag after the food was served before any of the sides came out – so much so that my uncle got up to get some assistance, but could not locate our server. He went to the hostess and asked for a manager, but he (James) never came and there was no communication that he would be a few minutes, or why he was not coming to assist.
When our food was placed, nobody asked that we cut into our steaks to ensure they were properly prepared. Had they done so, they would have learned that almost all the steaks were under-cooked. This was a surprise considering the extremely long wait we experienced between our appetizers and the time our dinner was ready. My dad and I chose to eat ours “as is". However, my wife and uncle sent theirs back to be cooked properly. My other uncle’s steak was over-cooked, and I only ended up eating three bites of it.
When the steaks were brought back, my wife’s was placed in front of her, and Michael asked her to cut into it to see if it was properly prepared. When she did so and turned to give her reply, the server had left and was already at a different table. He never indicated that he had to leave, or that he would be right back. In fact, he never returned to the table until about 10 minutes after everyone was finished eating. Additionally, it’s customary – at all restaurants, but especially at fine dining establishments – for a manager or chef to come to the table after food has been sent back to ensure the quality was corrected. This never occurred for us.
My uncle emailed James, the manager that night, regarding our experience — yet he never received a response. When we went back to our hotel that night, I spoke with the valet about our experience. He said he wasn’t surprised whatsoever, and has been hearing similar stories lately. He suggested another restaurant that we’ll have to try next time.

Read moreWe decided to have our wedding dinner at this location on 6/14/2024. First of all, the food wasn’t even that good for the price they charge. Secondly, they charge a cutting fee of $50 per wedding cake that you decide to bring in which is overpriced. We had a wedding party of 23 in which we were divided into 2 tables. We were informed that we can pay the tab in four payments per table. When the tab came, It was a little over $1700.00. When both tables received their ticket, the waiters applied some things on the ticket that should have not been. As you know, we were identified as the black people that can’t pay. In which we were more than capable of paying the tab. The waiter from table one who failed to help table 2 because table 2 waiter had a situation to come up, decided to bring the receipt from table 1 to the bride and groom at table 2 because he forgot to add the gratuity and taxes for table 1. The amount that the waiter from 1 forgot to add was over $300 from table 1. While all this is going on, the manager was just standing there watching and whispering amongst each other instead of intervening and trying to make sure everything was handled appropriately. The manager and staff are very rude and unprofessional. I think they are racist at that. We tried to speak to the manager about and all he said was that’s why we only do one ticket. And didn’t even try to apologize for the situation. I won’t recommend this place to stray dogs. And please whoever asked to hit a link to give feedback don’t, unless you are willing to make it right. So the email below was sent from upper management in today. Whether if someone have to catch an Uber or not, it is the responsibility of the waiter to make sure that everyone tab is paid and closed out. Everyone at the table paid because the waiter Jimmy took 7 payments. The waiter failed to do his job because he didn’t take the table taxes nor gratuity that he forgot to add when taking payments. Because the taxes and gratuity wasn’t added to the payments the payments came up short. But like I said, I wouldn’t recommend this steakhouse at all. The only reason why upper management reached out is to make it seem like he was going to make things right. So by the management looking into it was a waste of time because nothing was done about it. I would post the receipts but I don’t have to prove...
Read moreMy husband wanted to treat me to this restaurant, Del Frisco’s for my 59th birthday last night. I did not eat all day to make sure I have enough room for dessert. We had chard octopus (very good) and crab cake(very good) for appetizer, filet for me(it’s good), ribeye for my husband(it’s just ok), potatoes with truffle(it’s ok), cream of spinach(it’s ok), 2 beers and a glass of cab for me. After our meal which was served pretty fast, another waiter (I think he was), not our waiter put the bill on our table and said, “no rush, wherever we’re ready”. My husband and I were so confused. I told my husband that it must’ve been a mistake and probably meant to give to another guest. He said to see if it’s our meal on the bill. I looked and sure enough it was what we ordered on the bill. We were never offered dessert, coffee or dessert drink. I was feeling uncomfortable and told my husband to just leave because I see him getting upset (and I don’t think I would want to eat anything after that). My husband flag the waiter and ask him what kind of dessert they have. My husband was craving cream brûlée. They have one but with tiramisu. We decided to go ahead and just pay the bill ( total bill is $269.00 and left $320.00 with the tip, I know what some of you are thinking that we should not have tip the waiter. We always tip at least 20%, we just won’t go back). I used the restroom before leaving and on my way out, a gentleman by the hostess station was complaining about a drink they had and waiting to speak with the manager. I’m thinking that’s nothing. I didn’t get to make a wish on my birthday because there was no cake offered to me even though my husband told them when asked on the phone to reserve the table and to the gentleman that greeted us when we got there. I will not be back in this place and will not recommend this place to anyone. I'll tell you where my restaurant recommendation is for you when planning a special day. We just recently celebrated our oldest daughter’s 40th birthday a couple of weeks ago in Cleaver restaurant across the street. We all had a fabulous dinner and all had dessert, coffee and after dinner drink. Go there instead. By the way, my husband was a CIA (Culinary Institute of America) graduate in Hyde Park, New York and knows a little bit more about the food...
