After eating extremely over priced, horrible quality food on the Strip we found Ely’s!! Sunday morning we had a group of 6 exhausted, starving adults looking for a good, “home cooked” breakfast to fuel our days trip to the Grand Canyon. I asked my daughters to google locally owned with good reviews…Thankfully🙏Ely’s came up and was on our route! We walked in to a clean environment that smelled delicious and received happy greetings from each staff member we encountered…which brings me to Ms. Toya(that’s the name on my receipt so hoping I’m getting her name right). The most amazing person my crazy group has had the pleasure of meeting and working with!! She greeted us, took a quick assessment of the different personalities at the table and treated/responded to each of us as if we were family!! Ely’s menu showed an impressive variety!! We all made our choices and I figured we’d have a long wait…Ms. Toya within seconds returned with some chips and salsa which were amazing!! The chips were fresh, warm and the salsa was delicious!! We hadn’t even finished the chips before she began bringing our meals to the table! We were all so hungry I forgot to take pictures but let me tell you the pictures posted on their Facebook page represent facts! Everything we ordered was delicious! The serving size and quality was better than some of the 4-5 star restaurants we’d eaten at. I shared a plate with my daughter-in-love and thankfully I did because the portions of eggs, bacon, sausage and perfectly seasoned and cooked potatoes was more than enough for both of us. The plate we decided on also came with a waffle of choice. It was huge and it was and delicious! My husband and son-in-love ordered a meal that came with biscuits and gravy…not a peep was heard from either of them while they enjoyed their choices. My daughter loves cheesecake! She ordered her plate with the strawberry cream cheese and did not offer to share even a bite!! My son ordered pancakes…they were huge, fluffy and according to him, delicious as well!! Ms. Toya never let our drinks run low! 5+ stars for every...
Read moreSo today was the 2nd time I went to this place to attempt to eat. The first time I went alone in the late morning to try to get breakfast. I love going out to eat, im a foodie. When i arrived the first time, there was a couple there in front of me complaining about the food they received from them the day before. Instead of the waiter asking them to please let them seat me, I waited 15 minutes just listening them complain. When he finally sat me down, He sat me at the very first booth in the restaurant where there were AT LEAST 30 to 40 fly's. I got up and went to another booth in the back. I never even ordered a beverage, he never came back to host me... that was the first time. I walked out after about 45 minutes in there with no service. And the restaurant only had about 2 other people so they werent busy.
OK... So its the weekend, today is Saturday, im off of work, my son doesnt have school, I figured id take him to breakfast. Let me give Elys another try. Maybe theyre better. now. This is about a month later. We get seated, we both order Sprite with lemon, I order Chicken Fried Steak hashbrowns eggs and wheat toast. My son orders chicken tenders and fries. They take forever to bring our food, when it comes, the chicken fried steak and tenders are almost too hard to eat, he brings my toast when i ask for it,not on his own, no napkins, no ranch for my sons tenders.
I notice when I take a bite of my toast, It has MOLD on it, its green, I sat there for 20 minutes waiting for him to come ask me hows the food. finally he does, I explain to them and theres no manager, some guy was there playing manager who didnt have a clue. DO NOT EAT HERE... If you do, check your food thoroughly. Im calling the...
Read moreI was highly disappointed, this was my 2nd visit here. I had such a wonderful experience the 1st visit a few months back and honestly was excited to go back today and take my daughters after going on and on about my 1st visit. Unfortunately, it was almost a complete opposite of the 1st visit. Let's start off from the beginning, there are 4 of us and a baby, we were never offered a booster seat, high chair nothing, ok, no big deal, we fetched for one ourselves. My husband ordered the menudo the waitress asked if he wanted pata and he said no. My daughters ordered the spinach and avacado omelette, and the chicken fettuccine, I ordered the steak fajita omelette with hashbrowns. My husband gets his menudo, and sure enough they added pata anyway, we were like, then why ask but ok, again no huge deal. 15 minutes later one of my daughters plates come, then another 10 minutes later the other one comes, I still have yet to get mine. I seriously waited almost 20 minutes to get served after everyone else was already served. Since they wanted to wait for me even though I insisted on them eating, all their food got cold. To top it off, I was served the wrong omelette, and french fries and no hashbrowns, but again, because I was hungry and didn't want to come off rude, I ate it and left highly disappointed. $70 later and it really wasn't worth the drive across town just to go, and the service was just ehh... the waitress didn't seem sincerely apologetic (Liz) was her name and unfortunately it will be hard to consider returning. This visit was...
