It pains me to write this review.
I first enjoyed Raising Cane's chicken on a cross country road trip from Utah to Connecticut. We stopped in Ohio, and decided to give it a try... being from Utah, wed not heard of it before.
I was blown away by the quality of the chicken. I've not had chicken that was so juicy and HOT from a restaurant before. In fact, I'd almost kill to learn how to make it like that at home! I was certain I was a fan, and was anxious for someone to pony up and open one in Orem, Utah.
It was a couple of years later before I would even see another Raising Cane's restaurant. We were in Las Vegas, enjoying some spring break r&r. On our way back home (Vegas is driveable for us), we ran across this Raising Cane's restaurant. We were so excited! We told our kids they were in for a treat...
The only reason this review isn't a 1 star review is because the chicken was as incredibly delicious as it was in Ohio.
But that is about all they have going for them. The restaurant was busy, and still operating under COVID protocols - the dining room was closed. Only take-out orders were available. This is understandable, and I would never hold that against them. I was fine to take the order back to our car.
But it's 2021, and everyone has had time to figure out how to operate with a closed dining room. Indeed, all of the fast food places around where I live have adjusted well. The quality of their food AND service were as expected.
But this restaurant, despite a large number of staff on-hand, couldn't seem to get an order right! As I waited for my order, I watched literally 30% to 40% of patrons return to the counter to get their order corrected. Sometimes the errors were bizzarely egregious (like, they got NOTHING right in the order.)
I was at first amused by this, until 20 minutes later, and I still didn't have my food. We had an order for 4 people, so it wasn't that much.
I went back to the counter to ask the dreaded question, "when do I get mine?"
Short version: they simply forgot about us somehow! I was perplexed.
While the staff was courteous in rushing to correct the situation, they were oddly unmoved by the error. It was almost like this was normal operating procedure for them.
When the order did come, it was wrong, but thankfully not in a way that mattered. Instead of two #3's and one #4, we ended up with three #3's and the #4.
They wouldn't take the extra food back (COVID), and didn't choose to charge us for it (reasonable), so we went on our way, and as I stated, the chicken was outstanding.
The fries were floppy and cold-ish, and the coleslaw wasn't nearly as good as I remembered. The garlic toast (which was a highlight in Ohio) was chewy and cold.
We later chatted with my son-in-law, who has family who run construction crews in Vegas, and in his many family visits and summers working in Vegas, he has had occasions to visit this same restaurant. His report is that even pre-COVID, this restaurant had a reputation for being dirty and messy, with staff that are not able to get things right.
It's too bad, because the food has the potential to be so good (and somehow, the chicken always is).
If you have not had Raising Cane's chicken, I honestly would NOT recommend this restaurant as your first experience. I'm afraid that you would come away with a less-than-accurate view of how good the franchise really is (or can be), simply because the experience will be lackluster, even if the chicken is outstanding.
If I were reviewing the place in Ohio, it would get 5 stars easily... There (pre-COVID), the restaurant was large, efficient, and clean, and the staff were friendly, efficient, and accurate. The fries were hot, the lemonade was sweet, the toast was hot and crispy... And that chicken. Divine.
But this place in Vegas takes a system that produces an experience like that, and reduces it to nothing but chicken. The management should seriously look into better training and governance of...

Located at 1120 E Flamingo Rd in Las Vegas, NV, Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers is a fast-food establishment that I recently had the opportunity to visit. I must admit the chicken was a delightful surprise - perfectly cooked and incredibly juicy. And let's not forget about their lemonade; it was nothing short of magnificent!
The majority of the employees were genuinely friendly and that they consistently maintained a clean dining room and restroom. This dedication to providing a pleasant dining experience is certainly commendable.
However, as someone who has worked in customer service for over 18 years, with a significant portion of that time spent in management positions, I understand that friendliness alone does not always make customers feel truly welcome. I have developed a deep appreciation for exceptional customer service, and it is disheartening to witness anything less. Nonetheless, I recognize that inadequate training or a lack thereof often contributes to such shortcomings, ultimately placing the responsibility on the shoulders of management.
During my extensive customer service experience, I have come to believe that greeting and consistently treating every customer with a welcoming attitude is of utmost importance. While I acknowledge that it may not always be easy, it is a standard that every establishment should strive for, and it is an area in which this particular Raising Cane's could improve.
Moreover, it is crucial for management to lead by example in this regard. They play a pivotal role in setting the tone for the entire team, and by demonstrating a warm and inviting demeanor, they can inspire their employees to do the same.
In this rapidly changing world, the importance of exceptional customer service should never waver. It should always remain a top priority for any business, including this particular Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers Franchise.

Read moreFood is great, love canes. Only complaint is if you make a line and wait to order in your car, if they accidentally don't give you hot sauce or if you forget to order it.. you have to get back in line and wait another 30 mins just for hot sauce. (wasn't even extra hot sauce, just hot sauce ordered at the drive thru)
I thought like any person would that someone would hand you a sauce and thats it but no they did see I went up to the door and said I can't do anything for you. Didn't want to be a karen guy so I ignored it, and took the L for a hot sauce.
I know maybe they have company policy or restaurant policy where they can't even hand you something through the door.. its just ridiculous. If i was the employee I would give someone the sauce or napkin or whatever they forgot... goes a long way. doing things so strictly just comes off in a rude way and doesn't make sense. left a bad impression to me and my date of something so simple yet so messed up.
Edit: They reached out and did help me basically with free food for the hot sauce experience. Too kind of them. I just hope others who do visit later on at night check to make sure they got all their stuff otherwise, not the end of the world but would suck since the car line...
