A Disappointing Experience at Mr. Fries Man on Flamingo Rating: ⭐️⭐️
As a self-proclaimed French fry gastronome, I had high hopes for Mr. Fries Man on Flamingo. Unfortunately, my experience fell short of expectations. The interior left much to be desired when I stepped inside—the lackluster ambiance needed to align with the culinary experience I had anticipated. While the restaurant's interior could sprout, the staff was friendly and accommodating.
The menu, too, left me underwhelmed. It felt meek and lacking in vibrant options. As someone who appreciates the art of french fries, I would like visually enticing options. However, the selection did not excite my taste buds or ignite my gastronomic curiosity. Now, let's get to the heart of the french fries themselves.
As a connoisseur, I expect freshness and flavor in every bite. Unfortunately, Mr. Fries Man did not meet these expectations. The potatoes lacked the desired freshness, which was reflected in the taste. The fries could have been better, lacking the crispy exterior and fluffy interior that make them truly enjoyable. It was disheartening to bite into each fry only to be met with mediocrity and disappointment. Despite my disappointment, the efforts of the excellent staff could not compensate for the lackluster culinary experience.
Mr. Fries Man on Flamingo may have its loyal fan base, but as a French fry aficionado, I cannot wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. The lack of freshness, menu options, and uninspiring ambiance left me unsatisfied. For a truly exceptional french fry experience, explore other establishments prioritizing the quality and taste that discerning...
Read morePresentation as you can see was not bad it earned a star. I got a build your own chili cheese I only switched out the chicken since they said it was ground chicken. I put grilled chicken with shrimp.
As far as taste it was ok... chicken had a simple seasoning a bit salty but with everything else it diminished the saltiness. The chili was a bit grainy it kind of reminded me of the school's breakfast burrito meat. Texture and taste.
I had ranch on top. Not the best. It really didn't improve the taste.
I think the shrimp was the most decent part of the dish. But the for the price it is NOT worth it. I don't see myself coming back again. Almost $30 for a regular size that at first I thought oh ok this should be enough for me and my husband but no. I would still be satisfied if the taste was good!
I understand everything is not like it used to be but I mean I would suggest making the product worth it. I would say this plate is maybe worth $8 like a fast food restaurant plate. The taste was not worth $30. I was kinda of disappointed. I only gave a 3 star because of Presentation and customer service. Honestly I only came because of reviews but I would think twice before if not get the JR size to have a taste and not spend money where is not worth it.
Like I said I understand everything is expensive and all but atleast make it worth it I think I could get better chili cheese fries at Wendy's for a much cheaper price. I only say this for the previous comment since that was their excuse for prices was demand and supply. It is still possible to make your plates worth $30. Sorry no...
Read moreI feel like this place was hyped up a lot more than it should be, and maybe it’s just because of the time we went and the service people we got, but it definitely fell short for us from what we were expecting. The service wasn’t all that great and could definitely use improvement. My husband waited ten minutes just for someone to take our order and there was only one other customer there, who was already waiting for his food. Once our order was taken, the cashier went to the back and never came up front again until she handed us our order, then went straight to the back again. We could hear her talking to someone on the phone. The food was sub par, and definitely nothing like what other reviews we read said it would be like. My fries were stale and my husband’s not cooked fully. I order the buffalo chicken and my were completely drenched in sauce, so the sauce to fry and chicken ratio was way off. Everything was overpowered by the buffalo sauce. My husband ordered some teriyaki or steak kind, and well, his fries weren’t even cooked all the way, so there’s that. He said the meat and sauce were okay at best, but the fries not being cooked all the way really made the meal inedible for the most part. Overall, definitely not the greatest experience for us, and again, it could have just been the day, time, and the servers we had when we were there. But we’re not interested in paying as much as we did for potentially the same outcome, not to mention the portion sizes not equating to how much we...
