GameStop — Local services in Paradise

Don't shop here!!! As I stated on YELP I went into gamestop to purchase a rechargeable battery for my sons xbox s series controller. The one that you can charge by using a usb cord that plugs into the wall. The associate was advised me the one they carried was no longer available and the one they did have available was the Dual Ultra Slim by pdp gaming. My son advised me that the back that is suppose to cover the battery doesn't fit his controller, and that it takes forever to charge! The product isn't compatible to what I gave her specifics I wanted. To make matters worse I asked her to look up to see if they did have the one I was looking for at a different location, and she advised me no that her system was down!!! I have been a member of game stop for many years, and am so happy I refused to update my membership because of this behavior. So when I took the product back with out my receipt which was gone, the woman informed me that she could see about returning the item. However the manager of the store looked inside of the box took out the items and denied me an exchange! I have no idea why he denied me anything after I spent my hard earned money on this item. I am a single mother who does not have money to waste! Game stop has been robbing our communities for years, with their low amounts of money for trade ins of games and items. They are always asking or trying to force you to get coverage over an item. The associate then asked me for the number associated with my membership, before I could give it to her the manager automatically turned me down. She is the one who sold me the item! Why is it that your store cannot assist me with locating the item I want at a different location. I mean this manager who was very rude didn't even go the extra mile to find out what was going on? He didn't manage to ask me any information about my membership nothing! I hope he gets retrained or fired!!! The store is under kept and the attitudes of the associates are awful. I'm sure because it's in a low income neighborhood that the people get treated so poorly! I will not stop attempting to get something done about this. I got an idea one day while I was in the area to go to GameStop and check something out the thing I wanted to check out was the remake of the super Nintendo and boy was I sure surprised not only do they have it in the store they have used ones for just 75 bucks and brand new ones or just 80 bucks and it comes pre-loaded with at least over 40 games I believe but the main thing the main game that it comes with that I really want and must have is Contra 3 the Alien Wars I grew up with this video game and the video game pushed the Super Nintendo Hardware to the max with scaling and rotation shrinking and swelling the graphics and incredible sound it was just like playing at the arcades cuz the graphics was not Advanced and those days as they are now but Super Nintendo broke all the rules with their awesome system video games finally look like the video games in the arcade trust me this video game has it all great two-player action and mind-blowing graphics it is the greatest Contra game of all time I even grew my son up playing this video game as Father and Son together we played this game for hours even me and my best friend played this game for hours on end and it's extremely difficult with some blistering action anyways the Super Nintendo system comes pre-loaded with all the great classics like Street Fighter 2 Turbo and super metroid and the list goes on they even have my second favorite system of all the time which is the Sega Genesis with all their great games as well anyways I found this out because of the people that work there the man that works there is very courteous and kind and he's extremely knowledgeable of all the video games I was talking about and he was extremely helpful this was a great experience going to the store I...

I have to say that I am an avid shopper. I shop all over this city. I have for years. I am an educated Engineer holding two bachelor's degrees so my opinion may not be perfect but I'm definitely no dummy lol. I say that to say this...this store has an employee that I must say is truly impressive. Not just as a game stop employee, but as a person. Her name is Olivia. She's always smiling, always helpful, always genuine, always knowledgeable. Even when my truck was stolen from this same parking lot while I was shopping, she was very responsive in trying to help me figure things out, and STILL ended up somehow getting a smile out of me even when someone just stole a truck my grandfather gave me before he passed away. If you guys are ever in the area go check out GameStop on Maryland pkwy. You might even get a chance to witness what I think is one amazing woman that...
