Don José Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Paragould

The service was friendly and my order was taken care of quickly, but the food was very lackluster. The salsa was basically water mixed with chili powder and the chips were almost stale. My chicken fajita was okay but my wife's order was messed up. Ordered a grilled chicken burrito with grilled tomatoes, the man asked if we wanted the tomatoes in the burrito or on the side and we told him "in the burrito". We got the order and there were none in the burrito and instead was 1 slice of raw tomato on the side.

I ordered through Doordarsh, as I have many times, from all over town with no problems. I got half of my food. I called the restaurant Don Jose and spoke with them to see about getting it sent back out, he looked it up and said I only paid $9.75 which was what I got, I was charged more, and not just for the tip. I was charged for all the food. He told me I would have to call the company to get my money back and they wouldn't send the rest of my food. So I will not be using Don Jose anymore. We stopped here because we're driving through, and this restaurant was one of "Paragould's top 10 restaurants." Unfortunately, the food was awful and extremely overpriced. This is definitely not authentic Mexican food ... 3.99 for a bacon and egg taco made with a store bought tortilla and half an egg. If I could give it 0 stars I would.
