Disgusting. I've eaten at a lot of horrible places but this was by far the most disgusting food in the grossest restaurant I've ever experienced. First off, they ask for a tip before you even sit down. The boy at the register insisted we give it then, "just leave it on your card now", he said. It's ran by 18-23 year olds and they don't care. The area where you get your drinks was cluttered with dirty cups and napkins...I didn't understand why they were there. I watched a worker drop the plastic filter piece from the top of the tea maker, that you pour water through, onto the floor and put it back on the tea maker. The salad bar was dried up iceberg lettuce and onions....that's about it. That white/yellowish-green looking lettuce white trash people eat....yeah that lettuce. Luckily they also had spinach leaves so I got that. The dressing was as thick as custard. It didn't pour, it blobbed. I thought a woman put a scoop of mashed potatoes on her salad until I realized it was ranch. The pizza is worse than frozen pizza. It's that quickly made, cheap ingredient pizza you get somewhere like chucky cheese. But their pizza is probably better. I've had better pizza from a gas station in the middle of nowhere. Then comes what Larry's Pizza calls, "the pizza parade". What this really is, is a bunch of high school students awkwardly asking if you want some weird, made up pizza and continually interrupting your table's conversation. They came every 10-12 mins. It's weird. Some girl actually said, "would you like some chicken bacon ranch pizza without the ranch?" What? I'm also certain someone order a peanut butter and cheese pizza and they made it. There was a girl of about 8 years old at the table next to me who only ate a bowl of sunflower seeds the entire time she was there. At the time I thought, she's not having pizza?! But now I realize she was the smartest person in there and had probably been there before. I could understand if it was actually cheap, four people plus the required tip was somewhere in the area of $55-60. Also because my grandma left a tip on her card but also handed the boy a $10, which he put into his pocket. Next time I'm required to go, it's sunflower seeds for me. Actually, next time I'm asked to go it's papa...
Read moreSo I'm extremely thankful I found this place. We moved to Doniphan a year ago from Ohio and we have yet to find a decent pizza in an hour of the house. I've tried so many places and all of them fell short of even beginning to be as good as back home. Now, in ohio we are pizza snobs, i ain't gonna lie, but dang it we know a good pizza. I work out of Paragould, so I'm here a lot. When i found Larry's I was hopeful, but wasn't holding me breathe bc I've been let down many a times. But omg did they make my day, actually year. When I bit down on that piece of pie it was pure Buckeye joy at finally getting some pizza worth writing a review about. The sauce was sweet yet savory and just the right amount. The toppings were plentiful yet not overwhelming. The crust was thick enough to contain the goodness, yet not so thin it flopped over like a sad pancake. The quality of the food was excellent, not sure where you order your groceries from but may I recommend calling a PFG sales rep? (gotta represent, lol) The subs were perfectly baked with just the right amount of meat and cheese to make that oh so wonderful explosion of flavor make your tongue hate your lips for getting to taste it first. My husband, who is the most picky man on the face of this planet when it comes to his food, said the sub was the best we've had since we moved here.
On top of the absolute great taste and execution of cooking it, the guy who was working on the morning of July 4th was awesome. I placed an online order, so I called to make sure they was gonna be open and he was so nice. He had already seen the order and asked me exactly how I wanted everything, that was much appreciated.
So in summary, yep this place definitely got them a...
Read moreI highly recommend Larry’s in Paragould as a diner and employer. I believe they’re successful due to the workplace culture and atmosphere cultivated by the management team. As a former employee while I was a college student for about a year, I can confidently confirm the highest level of expectations set forth in a casual, family friendly restaurant.
Taste, cleanliness, and service are to be top-notch. I admire Count and RaChelle’s detail-oriented work and organization. They were wonderful to work with and uncommon as many employers fail to provide constructive feedback and training, especially in a restaurant setting for entry-level employees.
I enjoy eating here with my family when visiting. It’s consistently delicious and great that they accommodate customers’ requests. Of course, the pizzas are always fresh. The salad bar is great for picky toddlers who won’t eat real food and vegetarians. Also, they previously donated to the shelter. I liked being able to be a part of something bigger for the community. That’s what makes Larry’s...
