Cencalli Taqueria — Restaurant in Parker

Was super excited to try this place since everyone was raving about it. Came for a late dinner with a friend last week and wasn’t impressed. We ended up sitting on the patio (thank goodness because it was SO LOUD inside, it was loud outside too but not near as bad but still had to talk loud over the speakers). Service started off pretty good, got our drinks and food ordered. I got the ribeye tacos, the meat was almost raw but heavily charred on the outside. Had to flag the server down since after the food was dropped he didn’t come back. I got a replacement plate of tacos and they were barely cooked more. At this point I picked around the meat and ate what I could because I wasn’t sending it back again. Had to flag the server down again to get a box (service seemed to have really gone down once it was 8 pm). After we got the box 25 min goes by and we still didn’t get our check or the plates cleared. Again had to flag someone down to close out our ticket.

Again super bummed because I feel like this is the exact opposite experience most people are having. Made my night out with a friend not near as great...

Plates come out hotter than the food. Usually means microwaved. Owner never had a permit to block the road while putting up the sign, can only imagine what else they don't do behind the scenes. (Picture of them blocking the road illegally) Parking spaces are now always taken up making it impossible to park where I live. People constantly parking in the FIRE LANE when they go to this restaurant. Its over priced garbage you can get down the road.

P.S. - They didn't have a right of way permit. Looked it up on the day of during the blocking of the road both days they did. The fact they're saying they did in the reply is a factual lie. These are public records. Also being a chain restaurant does not make you family owned and I guarantee you, no one is told not to park in the firelanes. Watched your customers get out/in their vehicles going/coming from your restaurant. Been here for a year + now. I pay...

Excellent food, great atmosphere! Unfortunately, the most disorganized service I've seen in ages.

Part of it is that I had to repeat my order multiple times, and it took them nearly half an hour to give me the receipt after I paid.

But the more baffling issue was that their seating system consisted of three separate sheets of paper with scribbled names. This, of course, resulted in people getting seated way out of order. I saw multiple families frustrated because other groups (of the same size!) were getting seated immediately, and they were waiting outside for over an hour.

This is a new location, so I'll come back again sometime, and I'll update my review if it gets more organized.
