I’m sad to share this. I’ve gone to this chick-fil-a every Monday for lunch and ice cream for over a year and never had any problems. Occasionally the fries were over cooked but still edible. Today I decided to bring my husband in and while he used the restroom I ordered our food and paid. I’ve always been okay with the prices at Chik-fil-a because the service is always outstanding. I ordered three original chicken sandwich meals at 10:27AM and when I asked for the chicken tender meal I was told I couldn’t order it because it wasn’t 10:30...that was strike one. I got a spicy chicken sandwich instead and was told it’d be a fifteen minute wait due to the time I was ordering it...I’m perfectly fine with that. I was given three drinks and the order marker to place on the table filled with sauce but no tray or help carrying all these items. I guess since I’m 37 weeks pregnant she assumed I could balance it all on my pregnant belly and be good. I politely let the counter woman know I would be back to retrieve the additional drinks (after paying $29.xx for food I didn’t receive help and no one was in line behind me) and received much attitude, like I was a giant inconvenience holding up her counter...that was strike two. I get back to the table and see my husband is clearly distraught...I ask what’s wrong and he just looks at the table and says nothing. We get our food and he walks up to the manager (I would assume, he had a blue shirt on) and asks for a to go bag. At this point I’m a little confused. Come to find out while my husband was finding a table the woman cleaning walked up to him and stated that he had something on his face and started laughing (like when someone tells you there is food or dirt on your face). Well, my husband is covered in tattoos (as am I) and has some on his face. He told her it wasn’t funny and quite frankly offensive and she continued to laugh. I’m shocked that a “religious” establishment so focused on great customer service acted this way towards my husband. I read reviews online about how there is discrimination and would not have believed it until today. I’m very disappointed and disheartened by the way people act and judge, I could understand if this was a customer but an employee of the establishment?!?. God says to treat everyone as equals and not to judge. You’re closed Sunday to observe the seventh day of rest, I suggest you and you’re staff actually go to church and learn how to treat people. It might help to invest in a little training as well focused on...
Read moreNot happy with the customer service by the manager with the name tag saying David, today I want to start out by saying that normally I have an excellent experience (customer service and food) at every Chick-fil-A location. I love the fries and that's one of the main reasons why Chick-fil-A is the only fast food place I go to, if I eat fast food. Today, however, was very different. We went through the drive-thru at 3:30 and ordered our two meals. As soon as we got our food, I immediately at a fry. It was very soggy looking and when I took a bite it was very cold and rubbery. We drove back around, parked and went in to ask for new fries because those were obviously old, possibly from the lunch rush still. The girl at the register, Jacki, helped us right away and gave us two new sides of fries. The manager on duty, David, didn't even say a thing although he heard us because he looked our way. Jacki asked in the back for fresh fries and gave us the bag of "fresh" fries. They were obviously from the same batch because they looked, felt and tasted the exact same. We went back in and told her, to which she apologized for. The manager, David, just stood there looking annoyed while Jacki helped. We sat down to wait for the new batch of fries. While we were waiting, I saw David go over to talk to the guy that called back the fresh fries and over heard the young man say something about "we had to make a new batch of fries for them" to which I watched David roll his eyes and shake his head in annoyance and walk off. We received our fries, which were better but still not the quality we are used to from Chick-fil-A normally. We sat at a table near the place where you order and ate our food. We were there for about 10 minutes eating and not once did the manager come over to say sorry about the inconvenience, or sorry for the mishap or even ask if the fries were better or anything!!! I was horribly disgusted in the way he did not even bother to say anything or even acknowledge us or the problem but instead rolled his eyes and shook his head like we were a big annoyance to him. I would like to give credit to Jacki for helping us and being so friendly and I would like to make it known that David the manager needs to work on his people skills and problem management skills. That is not how you should deal with such situations. I won't be back for a long...
Read moreThis WAS "my" Chick-Fil-A; I've been eating here at least once a week and frequently more often since 2012 because it's so close to my home and the food is tasty and high-quality. Today I went through the unusually busy drive-thru but left empty-handed, and I won't be back again. They'd set up the outside drive-thru stand because it was so busy but there was a hold-up because the order-taker wasn't there; only the one employee at the register stand. When I drew up to the window side w/2 cars left in front of me, a teenage girl jumped out of a car, darted across the parking lot, and got behind the register, whereupon the beleaguered young gentleman there began taking customer orders. He was very pleasant to me; unfortunately, I cannot say the same for the young woman who'd taken over the register. When my new debit card was declined, she informed me politely enough, and I realized I'd failed to activate it. I'd started to tell her that and that I would provide another card when she interrupted me with a snotty "sorry," in a dismissive tone, and turned away to the car behind me which then pulled right up on my bumper. I'd clearly been dismissed, and accordingly, I maneuvered out of the drive-thru chute and sped away, in shock and humiliation. The take-away is this: if you like Chick-fil-A and you live in Parker, go inside. Be sure to steel yourself for an unpleasant encounter with the over-privileged teenagers working there; they ARE judging you. Apparently, I was found wanting and was haughtily dismissed. My apologies to the many fine, polite, and hard-working staff I've always dealt with there before, but this incident has left a very bad taste in my mouth indeed, excuse the bad pun. I won't return again, as I'm not willing to expose myself to the possibility of another abusive encounter like that. In this climate of rudeness, intolerance, impatience, and cruelty that's hijacked our society over the past year, we're all accumulating dozens of little psychic injuries on a daily basis. They do add up. We're suffering the "death by a thousand cuts," and society will continue to go in this downward spiral. "Hurt people hurt people." Can we please just be nice...
