I'd think twice about having a burger here if you care about the meat. Firstly we decided to give this place a try, never ate here before. Their website says to call to get placed on the waitlist, we called and they said they don't have one. So we drove and waited about 25 minutes after being told 15 minute wait. Finally we are seated, we go through the menu and give the waiter our order, then he asked about meat temp. I said Medium rare, he said they can only do no pink or a little pink, so they can't go under what he called "medium". I asked for the temperatures, he said they need to cook to a minimum of 165 degrees. If you know anything about this, 165 is actually BEYOND well done. You couldn't possibly get any pink or call it even medium well, nevermind that I'm looking for red inside. The problem is they market themselves as a "gourmet" burger spot. If you refuse to cook meat under 160 it means you are worried about something so the meat is either very unfresh, badly processed and/or very poor quality. I've never heard of a "gourmet burger" shop that doesn't allow you to choose how you want your meat cooked. When meat is cooked to 160 it loses flavor, juices and quality. For me all overcooked burgers taste the same so better off going to McDonald's, no one would dare to ask them to undercook a frozen processed low quality burger, but they don't pretend to have good burgers, they are trying to feed a family for under $30 in under 30 minutes. While I wouldn't eat fast food burgers I do get them. Red Robin's I don't get, they pretend to be a fancy burger sport, it's not even close to cheap, it's priced like an actual good burger, has full service an all, but refuse to not overcook your order, this is always a bad sign pointing to poor quality meat being used. If you like your burger well done, don't care for flavor and enjoy 30 toppings so you can no longer taste the meat...then I still wouldn't go here because many other places do that for half the price. I Highly...
Read moreWe used to go here all the time. Just went for the first time since lock down for some shakes and food. The apps were actually really good, wings and pretzel bites on point, and the service was excellent. HOWEVER...
TL:DR - They were out of most of what we went in for. Appears to have management issues. Kitchen staff arguing about missing food item. Pizzas came out half cooked.
My gf was a little devastated when we ordered shakes and were told "the ice cream machine has been out two weeks". That was the main reason we went in after all, but no biggie, we moved on.
THEN I wanted to try the new bbq pizza, and my lady wanted a bbq burger, AND they were OUT of bbq sauce and the "manager was getting more from another store".
So THEN we settled on works and pepperoni personal pizzas. The works came out and the runner was shocked the pepperoni hadn't come out already and she went back and had a 5 minute argument with the person in the kitchen about it. The runner was great, just trying to figure out what happened, but the kitchen worker was being rude and difficult, apparently the pizza disappeared.
The enitre bar, and I imagine the lobby and half the restaurant, could hear them arguing before our server and one other went over. Our server came to the table and said the pizzas would be free, which was great, honestly we didn't mind the delay, or the entertainment. The works pizza however was pretty bad and a bit undercooked, but nothing compared to the half cooked pepperoni that came out a...
Read moreFirst of all I’m not one to complain. As a matter of a fact I get embarrassed when someone in my party does because I understand that customer service can be a struggle.Tonight my mother in law came into town and took us here for dinner before the Fourth of July. There was a special drink for the holiday that comes with a light up cup you take home with you for $10 a piece. We ordered three for the children and none had a light up cup and the waiter was clueless (grey hair, and no beard). Another child ordered one and my daughters saw it, so we brought it to his attention. He went over and asked but said nothing. My mother in law ended up asking the bar tender for the light up cups since the kids wanted them and it was 30 bucks for the drinks to order. Then the appetizers came and we received the wrong order, but they did correct it. Then the manager came over to let us know a meal had no croissant which was another strike because it was a sandwich on a croissant. The meals came out and I ordered a scorpion burger which came out with no sauce on it. I asked the manager who seemed irritated.. “Sir can I please get some scorpion sauce” and he went into the kitchen and brought out some water with cayenne pepper that was not scorpion sauce by any means. The waiter avoided the table for the remainder of our meal, as well as the manager until we paid. Staff did not say goodnight as we left as if we were a problem table. I walked out feeling like I would never waste money at this...
