My daughter and I visited your Parker, CO restaurant this past weekend TWICE.
The first time was a last minute decision to have a "sit down" meal on Saturday night instead of the usual take-out we had been having for several days.
We were greeted promptly by a member of your staff who provided us with a table that was not jammed in with other guests. This is kind of important for all concerned in having a nice, easy dinner. Shortly after being seated, and just starting to review the extensive menu, our server, "Devon", approached to take our drink orders and answer some basic questions. She was very hospitable and easy to chat with. In short order, we had our drinks AND fresh, warm rolls with butter which we did not order but was a real treat just the same.
I was immediately drawn to your Turkey Dinner with mashed potato and Cinnamon Apples. I am a pretty good eater and do not, usually, leave anything on my plate but I must tell you that your portions did me in. The turkey was excellent but there was so much that I could not finish it. My daughter settled in for Chicken Bacon Mac & Cheese which was also a great portion. So, your kitchen staff did an awesome job of preparing and presenting a eye catching meal for the both of us. Our meals were delivered steaming hot by yet another member of your staff. Devon came by to make sure that we were pleased with out choices and offered to refill our drinks as well. We had a pleasant experience at a random choice of many restaurants in the area.
Monday night we returned to the Parker Black-eyed Pea for dinner. This time it was not a hit or miss, pick a place, thought process. It was a "must have" trip for the second time in 48 hours.
We were not disappointed. Our waiter/server was a young man named "Cole" who, like "Devon" treated us with respect and a friendly attitude that seems to come out with all your staff. Once again, we were not disappointed with our choices of entre. We found Cole to be helpful in our search of the menu and he was very prompt in providing those awesome rolls and butter to start (it is only after reading your "on line menu" that I came to realize that this is a tradition), provided our drinks and made sure we comfortable in our surroundings. Once again, your kitchen staff did an outstanding job preparing and presenting our Chicken Tenderloins with sides.
I hope that this lengthily message is read in its entirety because this is the good part... What you folks at the top of the company are doing, is working. Your Parker, CO staff were superior. Your Parker, CO facility was well maintained. Your Parker, CO TEAM was exceptional and deserved these glowing comments about how they treated people that become their customers. Please know that even if you don't get to stop by the Parker, CO restaurant often; YOUR facility is DOING THE RIGHT THING....
I doubt that I will ever be in Parker, Co again in this lifetime. Our purpose for visiting Colorado was the wedding of one of my grandsons. We had a great time which was exacerbated by our finding your Crown Jewel restaurant.
I hope that you will share this memo with your staff in Parker so they know their work effort is recognized and appreciated.
Wishing you continued success in your industry.

Read moreI used to be a regular customer at this restaurant until a recent experience that will prevent me from returning.
Overall the food is okay, some days the food seems better than others and for the most part service is good, until recently.
My family and I visited this restaurant on a Tuesday night for dinner and when we got there, it was not too busy. Once we sat down we quickly ordered as we knew what we wanted and we had 2 hungry kids. As we were waiting for our food, several parties were sat after us and they started ordering. We then noticed that parties that had arrived after us were getting their food and we were still waiting. After over half an hour of waiting for our food, we managed to track down our waitress and asked roughly how much longer before we got our food, and she told us that it should be out in less than five minutes. At this point our kids were complaining about being hungry and even pointed out that we were the only table without any food. After an additional 10 minutes of waiting, I asked a different waitress to speak to a manager, as our waitress was not around.
The manager came out and said she would look into why it took so long to get our food. She then came back and told us that it was because our kids had ordered pizzas and that those took 12 minutes to cook, and that the waitress had put in the order incorrectly, but immediately fixed it, and in the meantime the order of a party of 7 had been submitted causing our order to be back-up. None as this made sense as none of the other tables had a long wait, even those that arrived and ordered after the party of 7... As we were talking to her, our food finally came out - this was after over 40 minutes of waiting and over five other tables that arrived after us were already eating their meals. Also during the time that we were talking to the manager, the table immediately next to ours was also getting their food and they had ordered less than 10 minutes ago... If our order had been put in incorrectly, then they could have brought out the other meals to get us started and then just waited on the last item.
The manager offered to give us a free desert, but at this point we just wanted our kids to eat and move on with our evening so we declined the offer as it felt more like a pity offer rather than an true acknowledgement of having made a mistake and providing a sincere apology.
Once we received our food, the waitress did not come by our table. Once again, I had to get up and track her down in the restaurant to ask...
Read moreOkay so ngl I did feel a little awkward because we were the youngest people in the restaurant and we are in our 40s so that is saying something haha. It did feel like the early bird special retirement community which is fine. My mom worked in nursing homes so I like the elderly. But it did feel a little funny. However looking at the menu I can see why it is definitely an old-fashioned menu and if you are older then you will probably really enjoy some of these options. But young people can enjoy some homestyle cooking sometimes as well haha. What I found is that the service was amazing and all of the food was really good. We were seated by a little old lady who seemed like the manager or perhaps even the franchisee but she was really cute and sweet. And our server was outstanding my husband even commented that he felt bad for her like girl you need to go get yourself a better job I don't mean to be mean but you could definitely be in fine dining. And when we were getting ready to leave she started boxing up our food for us and I said that's a bummer you have to do that and she said oh no I just like to do that because a lot of the customers are older so I'm used to just helping them out. Like what a sweetheart. Honestly my only regret is I should have tipped her even more. Like I'm a pretty good tipper but she should have gotten a few more dollars even like my goodness. She was so attentive and nice and good at her job. And I did drive a bit out of my way to go to this location because they had better reviews compared to other options and I can see why because the attention to quality was pretty high for a chain. I rarely go to chains anymore because I feel like people don't care when they are in a corporate setting like that. But they really care at this black eyed pea. I also love the attention to detail like the rolls and the house salad were really good. It was a perfect compliment to the other dishes and I really loved my salad. A lot of places do not put cheese on a house salad anymore because it is getting to be too expensive so I really appreciate that. It was delicious I wish I had another portion of salad right now haha. I would recommend it to any fans of...
