We used to come here often, especially since my most recent review raving about this location. This is an update to that review.
Unfortunately tonight they have elected to lose our business. I brought a party of 8 for a birthday celebration expecting the highest level of continued performance, hoping expectantly that Los Dos would continue their narrative. Greater than 30 minute wait aside, we were unfortunately placed in the hottest corner of the outside dining with a fan blowing directly on our table, meanwhile empty tables are behind us in the shade. I would take a photo of the shaded tables, however, 2 of the 5 tables have recently been sat with a total of 8 people so I will protect their privacy. I have canceled my food order at this point so I can spend time instead posting this review.
We paid the additional amount for the dog-and-pony show tied to their guacamole and were told "they don't come out onto the patio". It's currently 7:30 and my kids have their dinners but have still not been asked about what they want to drink. Our server just updated us that they didn't ask. Professional note: when a server is asking a child what they want to eat, it is of imperative note to also request what is desired for a drink. Most kids are more excited about their drink than whatever they are ordering off the adult menu.
Our friend we are introducing to this restaurant just sent her carne asada back because it was insanely fatty and undercooked. They have Mariachis tonight which seem to be keeping the place lively, though I think it's only the workers struggling with excitement.
I saw the Mariachis playing Happy Birthday to someone inside but honestly feign to imagine what the response will be when I ask if they can come sing to my wife outside. Indubitably would have been an additional $20 tip for them, which will never actuate. Fortunately I have a backup plan for the birthday celebration.
My advice? Skip it. Instead of eating, since I cancelled my order, I am spending my time doing this review to save future celebrators from immense disappointment. If you're here for something important, just know there will be absolutely zero cognitive assessment applied to your placement within...
Read moreInteresting place. Flickering lights throughout the whole meal, not so good service And mediocre food. That pretty much sums it up.
Friday night at about 8 o’clock we arrived, And had a 15 minute wait. During the 15 minute wait saw the lights flickering like every minute and a half until we left. It became quite annoying after a while. It was the whole restaurant light system flicking. Overall, the service was nothing special and it seemed like we annoyed the server. She’s was very quick and rude to us Throughout the meal until she brought the check in which then she was nice and pleasant. Once we put our order in the meal was On the table with it five minutes. If we would’ve known the food was gonna be served that quick we would’ve waited and put our order off somewhat. We felt rushed by the quick service and also by a waitress.
The food is all right nothing special. More American Mexican than authentic Mexican. It seemed like it was more quantity versus quality.
The Atmosphere was all right. Some of the tables were pushed too close and felt like we’re sitting literally on the table next to us are behind us.
I would be truly interested in finding another place to try instead of coming back here
One of the people with us is not a Mexican food eater, there’s four she ordered a chicken and cheese quesadilla and the waitress gave her a look that was offputting kinda look like “gringo what do you think you’re doing? “
I imagine there’s better places around or at least. I hope there are for Mexican food. For four of us with a drink each and table side guacamole, the bill came out to...
Read moreI would go here with my husband on many occasions and get some good authentic Mexican food. During our last 2 visits we have had service that was far from satisfactory. During the earlier of the 2 times, I came on my birthday and was excited to eat a burrito and enjoy my birthday sopapilla. The male surver we had knew about my birthday when we sat down and I was getting excited. Once we placed the order we didn't see our server at our table until we stopped him for the check. We ran out of water, and wanted to check on my sopapilla. I had seen 2 other birthday celebrations and they got their dessert. My husband complained to the manager, who did nothing to help. We did speak, and pay with the cashier and he put in my order for the sopapillas. The most recent visit, we had a female server who once again did not check in on us after our food was served. After finishing eating and waiting for 10 minutes, our server came to our table. We asked why we never got checked on and she said "you didn't look as if we needed anything". I don't know how this could've been assumed when we had our napkins off our laps, on the table, and utensils resting on the plate. Normally we would pay with their hand-held terminal, but she slammed the tab on our table and walked away. I will not be revisiting until this places improves...
