We stopped in tonight for dinner and unfortunately this is a one and done situation.
The wait was short to get a table and this was as good as it got. The server was very polite but not at all attentive. The sampler plate appetizer sounded good and we started of with that. It was cold and mushy not a great start. My wife had to ask for ranch because it wasn’t on the platter. After a short wait my wife stopped the food runner to ask a second time for ranch.
Our meals came out and we had both ordered the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes . I had ordered the steamed broccoli as my second side but received coleslaw. I wonder if a ln experience cook staff wouldn’t have questioned this combination? Well I pointed it out and the runner brought me a bowl of broccoli that was cold and almost raw.
Our server stopped to ask if we needed refills and took our glasses. She was gone for a good ten minutes and visited the table next to us to take their order. When asked about our drinks she stated she was taking the menus back and would bring our drinks. It took her another 5 minutes to bring drinks to us. Meanwhile nobody has bothered to take the empty appetizer plate that’s been sitting on the table the whole time.
While eating the ac kicked on and caused an already bad experience to become even worse. I put my hoodie on and my son had to put his coat on. I mean sitting and eating while bundled up is not very inviting. A couple at the table next to us got up and switched sides of the table to try to get out of the draft. When they pointed it out an employee argued that it was the heater that was on.
Sitting there waiting for a check with half a meal on the plate and nobody batted an eye. Nobody notices and nobody seems to care. The icing on the cake, the whole family feels sick to their stomach.
All in all the food is bland, cold and oily. The atmosphere is lacking and seems like a poor copy of the original GTs that used to be around town. The service is nonexistent. I wouldn’t recommend...
Read moreMan, this was a really disappointing experience. We were so excited for it to open after they took like a whole year to open. We went tonight on a Saturday night. There was a wait to be seated so we anticipated it being busy. It took about ten minutes before anyone came to take a drink order, which they then forgot about and had to come take it again about ten minutes later. We ordered our food when we ordered the drinks the first time and it took the kitchen a little over an hour to make our food. My wife ordered the John Wayne burger and they brought her a Nashville hot chicken sandwich. She didn’t want me to say anything and said she wanted to eat it. But even the wrong food was messed up. The chicken had been so over cooked that there was barely any chicken left inside the inch thick burnt breading. And it was sitting under the heat lamp so long the bun was actually burned.
My chicken fired steak and mashed potatoes came about five minutes after her food and it was cold… waited over an hour for cold food. I asked them to throw it in the microwave and warm it up but they didn’t bring it back. But they did remember to bring out my onion rings, which were at least fresh although they weren’t good tasting.
After finishing my onion rings I asked for him to check on my chicken fried steak and see if it was still in the microwave . He came back and said they were making me afresh one, which they did but he put it in a to go box. Which I promptly open and explained to him I want to eat my dinner that I’ve now waited for an hour and a half to eat…. and would you believe me if I told you the mashed potatoes were ice cold again ?!?!! I ate the chicken fried steak and left.
I don’t know what’s going on at this place but good lord get it together. It’s not Michelin starred food. Find a short order cook who knows their brain from a scrambled egg and get a kitchen manager who’s worked in a...
Read moreWe've been to this location about a dozen times now and have never had good service. But we keep coming back because I understand that opening a new restaurant is hard and it takes a bit to get the kinks out. We also have a little one and I want her to have the same memories I did going there as a child. However, this last experience was truly baffling. Our server (who has been mentioned in other bad reviews) clearly couldn't keep up with her 3 tables who also seemed to be getting subpar service. There was no host so we waited a little while to get seated by another server. We were seated at 4pm and didn't get greeted until 4:15. My husband actually had to flag her down as she passed by our table several times without a word. That was basically the theme for the duration of our meal. At one point we had to ask her if we could order because she apparently forgot that we hadnt. When our food finally came at almost 5pm, I asked for the check and a box immediately because we didn't have time to enjoy our meal. I then realized I got the wrong protein on my salad. I alerted the server to which she responded "oh, you did?". She proceeded to do nothing about it. She ran my credit card and wished us well. She didn't offer any solution to fix the mistake or to take it off my bill. We weren't a difficult table, water and 1 coffee to drink (that my husband had to ask the food runner to refill), no modifications or unusual requests. 2 seperate tables who were seated after us in a different section had already left before our food even arrived. Even a day later I'm still stunned by our experience. I wish she would have informed a manager so we could have spoken to someone when I told her that we weren't happy. But here I am writing my very first bad review instead. So many missed opportunities to...
