Colombian restaurant at its best. IMO, Better than Noches de Colombia in New Jersey and New York that I am familiar with. Soooo happy to see El Balcon close to home. Finally, I don't have to drive to Coconut Creek location. This place is clean , nicely decorated but prices of dishes remain the same. Friendly staff and very accommodating . What can you ask for? If you don't like French fries or green plantains, they allow you to switch it for maduros for no extra charge.
Not familiar with Colombian food? You want to start then with their pandebono ( cheese bread ). Then try their chicken , sweet plantains and their combo meat entrees. Nope , am not Colombian, but an Ecuadorian friend introduced me to Colombian food and since then , at least twice a month , I visit a Colombian restaurant. No turning back for me. Let us support this new location next to Home Depot in Glades. Fast service too.
I recommend the trout if you like fish and for red meat , there's so much to choose from . In this picture I posted, I had the carne asada with chimichurri...
Read moreI don’t understand how this restaurant can have such good reviews. I have been several times to this location and I keep giving them another chance to redeem themselves but the service keeps getting worse at the moment to pay. The servers literally do not even give you an inch of space to pay. They practically breathe on your neck when it comes to the tip.
It was upsetting to once again deal with dishonest people as they add extra items to the plate when not requested to charge more. It is very upsetting and frustrating how they behave. They seem like Hawks ready to attack their prey. After we paid and walked out of the restaurant our server went immediately behind register to gossip about it with the staff and one of the male server said in Spanish if she made sure to charge us the extra items that they have added to the plate without us requesting it.
How disrespectful and disappointing, I will never come back to this place. I only took the time after so many circumstances dealing with this because it was the worse experience...
Read moreI am a regular client at this restaurant, and yesterday I stopped by to pick up a pan de bono, but I was denied. I drove from East Boca because I like your restaurant food very much, and when I arrived, the attendant told me they were out of pan de bono, even though a clear plastic bag with about 7 to 10 pans inside was sitting at the counter, they told me they could not sell me one bread, just the entire packet. I explained her that I was hungry, that I was a regular client and that I had driven all the way there for that and if she could kindly sell me one “pan” (which they normally sell at the counter) and she was arrogant and denied. I asked if she was the manager she told me yes. I am a business owner, and I would never lose a client because of one “pan”. I recommend that you double check who you have overseeing your restaurant operations and dealing with your clients. Before I left, I told her “Thank you very much”and she answered me “con mucho gusto” and let me leave hungry, upset and...
