La Granja Restaurant West Boca Raton — Restaurant in Florida

This is my new go-to take out joint in West Boca and it has a Drive Thru!!! Not only does this place Have the taste, but the portions and price are fantastic too! Not to mention the employees are super kind and helpful, especially when you need to ask about what’s in certain dishes. So far we have purchased the Steak Sandwich, Grilled Burger, Beef Sauté, Cheesecake, Garlic Potatoes, White Rice and Fries. EVERYTHING was amazing. Each was FULL of flavor, perfect amount of seasoning, and very very fresh. The steak comes with onions and tomatoes, and such savory seasoning……the portion was enough for 2 days. The burger rivals that of ALL the burgers in the area, needless to say it’s my hubs fav burger now, he even ran out at 930 last night to run through the drive through to get one! And you can’t Beat the price either! Comes with a good amount of yummy fries too! The rice is super fresh, and I love to add the Pico to it! And their garlic potatoes are full of flavor! I even added one of their many sauces to them to spice them up. (The offer several different sauces too) You can also sub the Fries for the Garlic Potatoes if you prefer. The cheesecake is very thick and sweet! Perfect size too! Forces 18% tip on client. This is a “fast food” restaurant with terrible service. The drive thru gets orders wrong 50% of the time. The dine in or takeout staff is not friendly, at all. But what shocked me the most was that the cashier forced 18% tip on my transaction without even asking. I was paying with a credit card and he instructed me to press the green button. I noticed that it was showing many options, all 18% and up. I was looking for the custom button. Impatiently, he pressed green for me which resulted in the 18%. That’s not right. How does la Granja justify 18%+ for their “fast food” restaurant? It’s not the employees who impose on the consumer. It is the restaurant that imposes!!! I Love their sauces and condiments more than most (#TeamWhiteSauce - Vinagrette) and I have tried a variety of their menu items from soups to ceviche before offering this Review. I do not generally get any of the stir fry noodle or rice dishes, but usually opt for their Roasted Chicken with 2 sides and a fried Fish strips dinner that comes with a few pieces of fried yuca.
