We went to Parkville on St Pat's day looking to find someplace good to eat, the original place we choose was packed so we happened upon The Park Place Grill. it didn't seem busy so we took a chance and come to find out they had only been open for a month or so. We ordered a few drinks all were made well, and the Potato skin boats were very tasty. I choose the Fish and chips which was a yummy choice My wife got the French Dip steak sandwich and she loved it. Our waiter was young and new, you could tell he was nervous, but done an excellent job taking care of us. It's always nice to find a NEW place that check off all the right boxes for food, drinks, and service. We will be back for sure

At the time of this post, this place has only been operational for two weeks. Bear with them as they continue to learn, grow, and evolve. We came in for an early lunch on a Thursday and we were not disappointed. The staff was friendly. The environment was clean and actually "felt" new. The bar is large, clean, and well stocked. Although well stocked, they don't offer any draft beers. We started off with the South West Egg Rolls... they were fantastic. My fiancee got the Chicken Philly Dip and I went with the Gmas Pot Roast. We both enjoyed our meals. Also recommend asking for the Huckleberry Mule.

Guy came outside and yelled at us about parking near the restaurant. We couldn’t find parking anywhere nearby, and took the only available parking spot. We even checked for a sign saying parking was only for the restaurant, but there was nothing. By the time we came back to our car, he’d added a very defensive sign, shown in photo. Unsurprisingly, the parking for RESTAURANT ONLY was pretty empty. Would have considered eating here but not after how rude he was. Parkville is supposed to be community-oriented. Get with the program.

Service was great, everyone was friendly and welcoming. Atmosphere was clean and nice but difficult to have a conversation in. With the tile floors, open floor plan and glass windows it gets pretty loud in there. The place was about half way full and the bar area is where I would recommend sitting if you want to give it a go. We were in the main dinning area and while the view was great it was smoky from the kitchen and loud.

Food was good if you stick to basic fried bar food. Burgers, fish and chips, and sandwich type stuff looked good and the kids enjoyed. We did have side salads and they were really good so salads might be a safe option. My mom said the Teriyaki was salty, my dad loved the Alfredo, my son enjoyed his salmon, my husband's tomahawk pork chop was actually a thin pork chop on a long bone and was just okay, my beef gnocchi was like eating beef and vegetables in a thick canned Alfredo sauce and the gnocchi was gummy. Mine was REALLY bad. I should have just stuck with the burger or fish and chips, I was sad. I think they must use canned and frozen foods to prepare their dishes.

For all 8 of us the bill was right at $220, only 2 of us got sodas, the rest of us had water, and no cocktails. For $25 a head you could go to a much better place.

This was my husband's birthday dinner and they did bring him a nice slice of cake. However it was frozen. Maybe it was ice-cream cake but I think it was actually supposed to be a chocolate cake with a light mousse. It was definitely a frozen cake brought in by a food distributor but good.

We're Parkville residents and while we REALLY want a restaurant to succeed in this location but they have some work to do. Maybe stick to being a bar and grill that only serves cocktails, beer, and bar type food. Leave the higher end items alone unless you're going to get a different kitchen staff or invest in a chef who makes things from scratch with fresh...

This place has potential. I would give it almost 4 stars (but not quite). I think that what is lacking is any sort of atmosphere. The menu is similar to Nick & Jakes in terms of offerings and price points, but they have a few sandwiches and seafood options that are unique to the Parkville area (buffalo chicken sandwich and a pork loin sandwich, lobster tails and crab cakes). The dining room is huge, spaced out, and very clean, but it is lacking any sort character that makes the dining experience feel cozy, family-oriented, or even memorable. It needs to be decorated and "themed" in some way. I think this actually affected how we enjoyed our food and left us feeling like the place was mediocre, even though the food was quite good. We ordered calamari for an appetizer, a burger, the steak medallions, salads, and crab cakes. The calamari, although tasty, was not well-presented and, frankly, looked like the leftovers from someone else's order. The steak medallions were very good and on par with local steakhouse offerings. Nice cuts and cooked just right. The burger was also very good. The crab cakes were tasty, but flat, and like the calamari, not well-presented. The service was very good. Would we return? I think Nick & Jakes would win out if the family had to vote on it, but we'd really like to see this...

I don't normally leave reviews, but this was a very poor experience and I am hoping this will help their management team turn the place around.

The first sign should have been that on a Saturday at 12:30pm the place was dead and when I went to use the restroom, it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in days. In addition to being gross, the paper towel dispenser and facet was broken (handle literally came off) and the tile floor looked to be decaying. If the bathrooms aren't being taken care of, I can only image what the kitchen looks like.

Came back to the table and our food arrived. Under my fries I noticed a dark hair which made me want to inspect my food closer. I turned my sandwich over and there was mold on the bun. My meal was removed from the check, but I wasn't about to order anything else. I could tell my fiancé didn't really want to eat his food either due to what I found.

Our waitress was great and very apologetic, but we will not be going back. Overall a very...
