I was heartbroken on how they handled my birthday. My husband made a reservation at least a week in advance and requested a booth if available (so it was pretty obvious we preferred to be inside). We arrived an hour early so we could have a drink at the bar. When my husband checked in, they told him we had already arrived and were seated! Really? My husband explained that OBVIOUSLY that was not possible since we were just checking in. They said ok and agreed we should have a drink and let them know when we were ready to be seated....any inside table being ok. We checked back about 5 minutes before our reservation and she again seemed shocked to see us. Finally saying, okay, she could seat us outside or in the bar! Really? It was the 90 degree weather week. We asked how long of a wait for a table inside and she said at least 30 minutes! Mind you, we just sat in the bar for an hour. We explained we had done everything right and did not appreciate how we were being treated and asked to see the manager. Moments later she came back and said they found a space for us and said the bartender would be waiting on us since they were so busy and it might take a while! Manager did not come out. They brought us into an obviously shut down room with no patrons. We were completely alone. It felt like we were being punished. When the bartender finally arrived we explained that we were not happy. She left to try and fix it but, of course, was not able to do so. We moved into a tiny, high table in the bar. Jill, the bartender was an absolute dream. Entirely too busy to try and appropriately wait on our table. Lots of waiting but very sweet. Gave us a free dessert.....big deal! We didn’t want free; we wanted our reservation fulfilled and to be treated like they cared we had been disappointed. Even though we were very disappointed we would have recovered if anyone would have acted like it mattered they were ruining my birthday! Never, ever, ever did anyone but Jill act like they cared they had messed up and the manager NEVER showed their face to say sorry. As always the food was delicious but their treatment of their mess up...
Read moreMy husband chose Corleones for his birthday dinner on 6/27, which turned out to be one huge disappointment, particularly regarding the food quality. What we received in comparison to the price was pretty inadequate. Our son ordered the Salmon Loconti for $32, the salmon was a very small strip, smallest that we've ever gotten from any restaurant over a small bed of veggies, no salad or additional sides. My husband ordered the Lasagna $23 came with absolutely nothing, we paid $5 additional dollars for a meatball, so $28 dollars for a small piece of plain sauce Lasagna and a meatball, not so much as a small salad to offset the small portions. The sauce was as if it came from just an opened can of tomato sauce. THEN there was mine, I ordered the chicken marsala, it came with a small side of plain sauce spaghetti, the chicken was completely undercooked and pink inside which completely just ruined it for me, turned my stomach instantly. To note, there was very little to no marsala sauce with just a few mushrooms on just one of the pieces of chicken. My first small piece of chicken did not taste right, def wasnt fresh the chicken tasted old, so I moved that aside trying not to complain and cut into the second piece because I didn't want to complain and it was completely pink and well undercooked, I lost my appetite at that point. I am not one to ever send my food back, and never do I complain at a restaurant even if the food is not the best, but this was completely unedible and a huge disappointment. I apologized to the waitress for sending it back, she did offer to replace it as well as offering me a free meal, but I declined. I just sent it back and did not take the free meal, for at that point, my stomach was done. I finished my drink, my family finished their meals and I left without eating. My husbands birthday dinner sadly was not a good one. The overall value for the money was definitely lacking, especially compared to other restaurants. What we received in comparison to the price was pretty inadequate. Not to mention, the food quality was just not there. First and...
Read moreThis was easily one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. First thing I'll say is that the service was good. Other than that, yikes. I had been here several times and have previously had good experiences. But this place has gone so far down hill I had to write this review. The meals were terrible. Wife's pasta overcooked and mushy. My eggplant was raw. I asked to sub a different pasta bc I didn't want the marinara and was told I had to purchase the side pasta outright in addition to the pasta that came with the dish (why couldn't they just upcharge me the difference, who knows). But even after paying for the extra pasta (blush sauce) the pasta came out bland and watery. It seemed like a watered down jar of sauce. I took 2 bites, a total waste of money.
But the real kicker was this photo. It was our anniversary and they knew bc open table asks if it's a special occasion. And the waitress brings this plate out and says "since you didn't order dessert we put together this special plate for you." This plate was literally a spoonful of cannoli filling with "Happy Anniversary" written in chocolate syrup. I was annoyed and embarrassed. I didn't not expect the restaurant to do anything for our anniversary but if you're going to do something, don't do this! I mean, put an actual cannoli on the plate at least. It was the last straw on a terrible meal all around. Needless to say I'll never go back, but hope others that read this can avoid wasting $100+ on a truly...
