Hip yet classy vibes are hard to find in Pasadena, but “Agents Only” Bar & Lounge at Hotel Dena nails it. Conveniently located with ample free parking, it's a gem you don't want to miss.

The Prickly Pear Margarita is a visual delight, with hints of pear and fresh lime juice that dance on your palate. The soothing music and perfect ambiance make it an ideal spot to unwind.

The Tuna Guacamole is a fresh take on a traditional Mexican appetizer. The tuna melts in your mouth, and the combination of guacamole and tuna on a chip strikes a perfect balance. Garnished and presented beautifully, it's a must-try.

Everything here is made to order with fresh ingredients. Chef Raul, a loyal fixture at Agents Only, ensures each dish is meticulously prepared. The shrimp enchiladas are earthy with a slight bite, flavorful without being heavy.

Happy hour runs Monday to Friday, with Taco Tuesdays, Wine Wednesdays, Thirsty Thursdays, and even karaoke nights.

The Strawberry Lemon Drop is another highlight, a perfect drink for a hot summer day while exploring Pasadena.

Agents Only bar inside Hotel Dena was Charlie's when it was a Sheraton. Same staff but it's been completely redecorated. The joint looks truly fabulous now. Unfortunately the bar stock is piss poor but I'm told that's all about to change. I really hope that's true. If they step that up, get some proper king cubes and most importantly, a bar manager that knows and values craft cocktails, then the drinks will match the ambience. I really, really hope that comes to pass. What has greatly improved is the food. It is head and shoulders better. PRO TIP: The fajitas look and taste delicious. The cheeseburger looks fab. But beware the prices have risen with the quality. Some nights they have a loud DJ that makes it difficult to hear the people you're with. I'm NOT a fan and hope that goes away ASAP.
