Panini Kabob Grill - Pasadena — Restaurant in Pasadena

Let me start by saying I usually don't take the time to complain, I've worked in the restaurant business myself so I get it when it's crazy busy I get it. My issue is that the lack of service or the lack of acknowledgement that I'm even present...it was apparent I couldn't place an order standing in front of their bar /counter for over 15 min. Mind you I'm 6'2 I'm not hard to miss but linger eyes cross paths and nothing of a simple acknowledgement or simply saying I'll be right with you. I had to place the order on the mobile app. Another 10 min pass and someone finally says how can I help you? I explain I only want the kabos to go and he replied, it'll be about 20-30 and I said I'm fine with that and the waiter said someone will be with me to take my order. Another 10 min pass and nothing. I gave up and sat down at one of the many many dirty tables there. I mean plates and left over dishes on over 5 tables! That's ludacris, needless to say a big party got seated and order taken well before I was even helped. I finally got someone to follow up with, have you been helped? I replied no! So he asked how can I take your order ..finally 30 plus minutes later! I simply asked if he could confirm if my order is in the queue since no one talked to me to personally take my order. I didn't get a I'm sorry reply I got as you can see the kitchen is behind....what kind of service is that. Ultimately when I arrived home my order was wrong! I live 2 hours away and when I lived in the city my wife loved your food. I vented my issues while waiting to place my order and she convinced me to wait it out because she desperately wants the food. Now mind you I'm past the point of wanting to eat the food, I have a very upset feeling in my stomach and a sour taste in my mouth. Just a horrible experience altogether. Cannot believe the lack of service .. I don't know if it's the color of my skin tone but there were many other frustrated customers that day all venting their displeasures while waiting. Needless to say I made it home safely 2 hours later & my food is wrong. What the heck you guys!? I cannot believe this experience actually happened. I'm a human being, a person! && A paying customer why can't someone simply acknowledge that I'm there waiting?!

Regardless I still love your food and hope my next experience won't be this horrible.

I was trying to place an order at exactly 9 PM. And the message on message on the phone number that I dialed for panini kabob in Pasadena said that they were closed since I live exactly next door I walked downstairs at 9:05. To a restaurant that was probably 80% at capacity. It looked like there was a couple of big graduation party's going on and I tell the gentleman that I was trying to place an order and I know cut off his 9 PM but it's only 905 and he looked at his watch and said yeah, sorry, the kitchen's already scrubbing down for the night next time you should call. LOL, yes, I'm aware that 1 should call beforehand especially when it's crunchtime, but obviously there was other factors involved. That's why I'm standing in front of you right now . regardless to say. I was not able to pick up anything from them. Since the kitchen was already scrubbing down for the evening . I understand I really do being that I worked in the restaurant business myself. It should be some form of grace period just in case that 1 idiot client that comes in at right at the cut off. My 5 star review is 100% for the food. Yes, it’s a bit slow and possibly under staffed. But, our server told us they opened two months ago. They are trying to get their bearings.
