I’m compelled to write an amazing review because my experience here was beyond satisfactory. I walked in expecting a normal and quick experience of ordering on a kiosk and checking out, but once when I opened the door, I was immediately greeted by, Tommy, the owner. He asked if it was my first time visiting, which I responded yes to. He quickly grabbed a small gift and handed it to me without question. I was so shocked and thankful. He continued to show so much excitement and enthusiasm as he rushed over behind the serving bar to recommend me drinks, food, and snacks. During the exchange, he asked about myself and where I came from. We discussed travel and the amazing night market scene in Taiwan. He was multi-tasking and able to make drinks while keeping light conversation.

There’s just something you cannot deny when you experience superior customer service. He made every effort to be accommodating and to show that my business meant a lot. I think because his storefront is off on the side of the main street, it’s hard to catch customers that walk by. I told him that I’d tell my friends to come here and try out the boba. He was brimming with joy and even took the time to go around the bar to hand me our drink AND to escort me out the door as he waved goodbye. The last time I had this type of service was when I went to a contemporary restaurant in Japan. Not only does he warrant a good tip, but he deserves all the business he can get from milk tea drinkers. The oolong milk tea I had was great and had a good depth of flavor to it. Tommy knocked this experience out of the park just by being such a positive go-getter business owner. I love his energy and hope he can continue to be valued in the Pasadena community. I will definitely be coming back more often...

Hai Cha is hands down one of the best boba spots I’ve ever been to! Their boba is perfectly chewy and fresh every single time, which is something a lot of places struggle to get right. The quality of their tea is outstanding—rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced, showing they truly care about what they serve.

What really sets Hai Cha apart is their exceptional customer service. The staff is super friendly, warm, and always ready to greet you with a smile. They make you feel genuinely welcome and create a homey atmosphere that’s hard to find elsewhere. Whether it’s offering great recommendations or customizing your drink just the way you like it, they go above and beyond to make your visit special.

I personally got the okinawa tea mixed with brown sugar tea and it was the best boba tea i have ever had in my life. It was the owner Tommy’s first time making it and my first time trying it but i got to say Tommy is a master at what he does. He even gave me a complimentary wireless charger upon entering his nice and cozy establishment. He also gave us a history lesson on the tea’s origins and how it came from Taiwan and he is Taiwanese!!! I really appreciated Tommys nice, welcoming, and complementing vibe he gave. Tommy is an awesome guy, owner and friend.
