Tea Spots — Restaurant in Pasadena

I’ve been coming to Tea Spots in Pasadena since 2018, usually 2–3 times a month. I used to love this place, but in the past year the service has gone downhill. My orders are wrong more often than not — for example, ordering a super-sized drink and being given a regular. When I let the cashier know, I’m told I have to pay the difference (which I don’t mind), but then I have to wait for them to remake it. It should be correct the first time. I’ve also had my chicken and fries come without ranch, sometimes it’s included, other times I’m told to pay extra. The inconsistency is frustrating. When I point out mistakes, especially during the evening shift when a male cashier is working, I’ve been met with attitude instead of a simple fix. Lunch service is usually fine, but evenings are a gamble and often inconvenient for me and my friends. This place is awesome! Great spot to grab a bite or sip a boba drink while catching up with friends, working on schoolwork, being productive or just lounging. You can find an assortment of food and drink options. Definitely try the cotton snow or shaved ice. You get a choice of fruit, topping, and flavor- topped off with condensed milk, chocolate, or coconut. The portion size is actually plenty for 3-4 people! Also, the customer service is phenomenal! One of the ladies at the counter discounted my order when she realized that a 15% coupon wasn't applied through their point system. She even remembered my name, and I saw her once checking in on one of the customers. This place is spacious and offers a relaxing atmosphere. You can find free drinking water and a restroom at the back. The parking can get a little crowded but there is a small lot out front. An amazing little cafe and a great study spot!

So happy to have discovered this place with my boyfriend, it's one of our favorite places in Pasadena to come to when we need a spot we can spend the evening studying and getting work done at! It's the perfect place for it. It's well lit, has nice music playing in the background that isn't too loud, and has comfy booths and colorful chairs for seating. They also provide free WiFi!

The food here is also delicious, I love getting their popcorn chicken along with a strawberry or mango smoothie, which are very silky and smooth in texture. Delicious! The spicy versions of the chicken here are also ACTUALLY spicy, as well!
